This guy does it how I have done it, using a gift card or credit card cut into 4 pieces. very easy and quick. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QApvLyorr3g fast forward in to 4:30

I just followed a youtube video when I did my 10's a while ago. Just a credit card or something similar and it won't damage the cases.

Thank you for your response. Sorry I was ambiguous in my question. I meant, what do I need to do to use it in a NAS or as an internal hard drive? I thought there was a pin modification of some sort?

Thank you again

Depends on your setup. I've got several of these in a usb 3.1 external hard drive tower, though not a nas, and no mod was needed. Also using a couple of my computer with 5 or 6 year old Seasonic power supply and didn't need to modify anything.

Costco has seagate 8TB for 119$. Seagate is much better drives than WD.
Disagree as well. My WDs have never failed me (yet, knock on wood. One internal going on 7 years old, one external going on 4) but my Seagate external died in lees than 4.

Newegg states, "Promotion code 93XPD3 is not Valid".
