Just a FYI, Amazon list this as last years model and that there is a newer version for $100 more and that it has a new DLP chip. However, when you go to Optoma's website it list the same DLP chip in both projectors. It does list the newer projector with a few hundred more lumina but the specs and the DLP chip are the same.

Almost pulled the trigger on a Vizio M Series today and now you got me thinking of this instead.

The area I plan on using it in has no windows so i have all the control over lights. I came close many times to purchasing a refurbished unit and I'm eligible for 5% CB on my CC for Amazon so it's more tempting than before.

I'm trying to hold out for a Black Friday deal. Also, I'm new to homeowner ship and trying to focus on the needs well before the wants.

Honestly I'm waiting for another BenQ coupon to upgrade to 4k. I already have an Epson 1080ub and 2405.

I'd like to go the 4K route but anything outside of pixel shift is heavy on the pockets.

I'm currently running an older Epson and the 3LCD setup does produce a nice picture. PM me some numbers and we will see what happens.
