I have this drill and like it... though I can only compare it to the cheapest harbor freight plug-in hammer drill, the brushless ryobi completely blows it away. To be fair, the cheap HF model was close to useless (and I am a HF fanboy).

it's also important to note that many of these tools are in fact brand new with no issues whatsoever, but are required by TTI to sell as factory blemished when selling directly to consumers as to not violate the contracts they made with the brands they manufacture for

Correct, it's "labeled" factory blemished because of an exclusive "new" agreement with Home Depot.

I've got a few of these from buying kits/promos over past couple years. Personally I think these are great drills - plenty of power, multiple speeds, brake on trigger release, last a long time. I have used a few other drills, while some nicer ones exist they were notably more expensive. I'm not pulling trigger today only bc I anticipate I'll buy some more kits over holiday sales and don't need a dozen drills.
