If you dont care about PCI-e 4.0 no need to upgrade. Chipset uses 3x more power and the boards are incredibly simple at the lower end of the price range. Get a X470 or B450 Board and get way more for the same money and less power consumption

Not the best VRM, the Asus X570-P that was $135 on Amazon the other day was a better buy. Having the best VRM of any sub $200 X570

Agreed, I also don't like the bios on these, but.. if you are an asrock fan or this fits the color scheme it's not a bad deal.

depends on your CPU and whether PCI-E 4.0 is important to you

The x570 offers PCIe 4.0 support, future upgrades, and on average seems to get better frequency out of memory.

BUT it cost a fair amount more than the x470/B450 boards and the chipset needs a fan as it uses more than double the power than a x470/B450 chipset.


At less than $150 this is a good deal.
