I have this model. It has issues with undocking and removing the hard drives safely. I regret buying it

Can this be used with xbox one x? And how would it see the drives? As one or 2?

For anything. It will either recognize only up to 8TB of HD or not recognize drives larger than 8TB.

Is this really a good deal considering the better version (2 x 10TB) sells for only $7 more? (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018FTE...DbG0RCFRJ)
Having $97 as MSRP seems little stretch

Could I use this with 2 HD's and configure it in a raid 1 and plug it into my router and make it a personal cloud?

I've had this about 3 months myself from a Newegg Flash deal at I think the same price. Really like it. On mine the drives go in and out super easy. Zero issues ever recognizing a drive. So far have only used it within Windows though. Would for sure buy again. Guessing other SDer got a defective unit as both 2.5 and 3.5 drives work great on mine.

they do make sata adapters for m.2 drives, just make sure they are compatible with your version of m.2, B, M or B+M, don't just assume.
