Ebay:
Subtotal (1 item)$72.99
ShippingFree
Tax*$3.51
Discount-$14.60
Order total$61.90

Amazon total: EditFrownWith taxes included)
$68.89

The point here is that for people without the 10% YMMV appbucks, they're trying to make you think this is the best deal in the world when it reality... you're actually using a one time use coupon code to save exactly... 10.146 percent under the guise it's 20 percent. The point is there are a 1000 items and you succeeded in finding the one that had a whopping 10% off. I wouldn't call that a "slick" deal.
You original reply stated that after 20% on eBay it was the same price as currently on Amazon. It is not. It is 10% off the current price on Amazon, which at $58 matches lowest it has ever been on Amazon according to CCC. My point was to correct you there.

It might not be the Slickest deal ever but it's one of the few *useful* items that hasn't been marked up prior to the current eBay sale and for that it's worth sharing.

I tried a couple of items for Champion and in both cases, Amazon had them for cheaper even after the 20% off with 2 days shipping. Much easier to return on Amazon too. I think you have to do some reach on the items on sale before you pull the trigger.

Just gave a look at the shenanigans at play for these so-called coupon deals.

They literally doubled the price of this itty bitty cable!

i personally paid $8 a few weeks ago.

Some sellers like World-Of-Optics (Branded Sunglasses) jack up their prices prior to eBays dissemination of its promotional code. Example: Oakley Holbrook Asian Fit that they sell for $84.99 a few days ago, now its $94.99. So when you apply the code it seems you'll be saving a lot - but if you follow the price you'll still be paying their regular price.

Whats the discount codes for if they monopolize the price? 🤷🏻 ♀️clearly these seller saying they don't want to lose money if the discount codes are applied.

New message from: world-of-optics Top Rated Seller(37,921TurquoiseShooting Star)
Hello
Thank you for your interest. The previous price was $84.63. Now you can get them for $76, so quite a big difference in price with coupon. We do not have that big of margins to be able to offer this large coupon on our all day sales pricing. Although the price was raised, it is now still a lower price than before.

It's 64.99 on Amazon... and 73.99 on ebay lol. That makes 66 dollars on ebay. Without the 10% bucks... this isn't a slick deal. You shouldn't have to stack 2 coupons to save 2 dollars.
Ahem...*$60 on eBay. Maybe you counted tax on your eBay quote. You didn't add it to your Amazon quote. So it is a better deal for folks even without the 10% stacked. Please edit your post. Of course, it is nowhere near 20% better just with the 20% off code. It is about 10% better. But folks should always compare with Amazon first. I did. Any real SDer would. With the 10% eBay bucks, it is a very nice deal. Without, it is still a nice deal Not 20%, but any SDer also should realize before even clicking on this thread, or definitely by reading some of the other comments that it is not exactly easy to get full a 20% off of the best available price for anything with this fake promotion tied to certain sellers who know they are participating and often adjust their prices up. 10% less is not wasting this. I seldom use these at all, unless someone else does the legwork and is nice, such as the one who brought this up - a decent deal.

I literally posted a checkout a few posts later to show it was truly 10 percent off. The whole point here is that they're trying to trick us into thinking this is 20 percent off when in reality is just the old "mark up high, then offer discount" illusion that cheap furniture stores would pull.

I know. You should edit it so new readers don't react to it. Who reads an entire thread before reacting to a bad math post? You misrepresented your point in it with apples to oranges math. But it's your choice. When I screw up, I edit the post. Like I said most of us know eBay sales like this tied to select sellers are overblown as far as many deals go. Due diligence and caveat emptor. Tons of popular slick deals go this way. We should not be sheep, but crowd mentality is a thing. Anyone who blindly buys with this code and does not compare prices needs to turn in their SD card.
