I bought this PC during Black Friday last year. No issues, even if it did best buy is great with warranty replacements. It's been very solid it has only crashed once on me because of some issue Modern Warfare was causing with 2080s.
Only thing I recommend is doing a clean windows install as soon as you get it to avoid all the HP junkware

Good find! Looked it up on amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HHTV...merReviews

Doesn't seem to have many reviews but a common thread seems to be overheating and poor design.
I have this. Gets hot. No intake fans. Also, 500 watt psu is not powerful enough for all components. I'm waiting on my 750 watt psu to come in to swap in.

i believe this is the same model that BesBuy had for last year's black friday sale.i would be caution as many people returned the unit due to heat and broken GPU.

Thank you Iso Man,

I have purchased from the seller they shipped fast and they offered a 30 day return policy if that is helpful.

This is speculation however, given this was a Black Friday item I wonder if a lot of people bought this for kids who didn't know how to care for it properly... Putting this thing in a tight space without ventilation could be killer... again, just speculation

This seems to be very similar to the Overpowered deal. It's the same CPU and the GPU performance is virtually identical. The Overpowered one has twice as much RAM, but the RAM itself is slower. The Overpowered PSU is 650-watt versus this one with 500-watts.

Both computers have the same 2tb mechanical HDD, and the Overpowered one comes with a 512gb SATA SSD, while this one comes with a smaller but faster 256gb NVMe SSD.

Neither computer has an optical drive. The Overpowered one does not have wifi or bluetooth (you can add a PCI wifi/bluetooth card for $30-$50), while this one does come with one (but it's an older wifi and bluetooth 4.2).

The Overpowered one comes with a 2 year warranty, whereas this one appears to have a 1 year warranty. The Overpowered one is $100 cheaper.

Overall, these seem like very similar deals.

I reviewed this for Best Buy. Check out my review on their listing titled "Subpar Performance For the Price" by user "Xephyroth"

For this price, it might be more forgivable for some, but it's definitely going to have thermal issues due to having only one chassis fan. Also major power limit throttling since it's only using a 500W PSU. The CPU and GPU will fight over power for performance.

Ended up moving the RTX 2080 into my main rig and rigged this Omen up with a more modest GTX 980 I had lying around.

With the 2070s out, the RTX2080 is definitely not worth the $700+ premium some are attributing to it. You can pretty much build this for close to this amount with better components

Link to the Overpowered unit? I'd prefer it and think I'll buy one.
