Nvidia recommends 650w psu for RTx 2080. This has 500w.

For those in the market to build from scratch, should one buy 9th gen or wait for 10th desktop chips?
Depends on your use case. If it's strictly for gaming then definitely go with Intel. If it's productivity workloads then definitely go with the latest gen Ryzen 7 and above. With Black Friday just a few weeks away just hold off till then unless you catch a price error or something at 3AM on SD.

Have to disagree, the Intel has better single thread performance but now days people have multiple applications running in the background and once you start a game and say OBS then the Ryzen is the way to go. With them being only a few frames apart with just your game going the Ryzen is much more versatile. The days of Intel being recommend for gaming PC's has come to a end. Great with games, also great for productivity. The current Intel lineup doesn't make sense for most people at the moment. This is based on being in the industry for 20+ years and being strictly Intel user for 10 years now due to my PC being a gaming machine first but things have changed and Ryzen (latest gen) is the way to for for now. Then add Intel's roadmap and showing how far behind they are vs AMD is mind blowing considering where they stood just a few years ago.

This is back in stock at $1099 and if you purchase in the eBay app, you can get $100 in eBay Bucks back. Makes this a pretty awesome deal.
