I'm posting this quick because I know someone else will see it. It's $949, the cheapest it's ever been according to CCC

Walmart will price match Amazon if you prefer not to shop at Amazon, though Walmart still charges tax on the difference.

it's not slick. I paid that price like a year ago at micro center.

Wait till BF and I think apple will announce new ipad soon with minor changes.
I don't think you paid that price at microcenter. You probably paid for the 11 inch versus the 12 inch...

I got this exact one refurbished on ebay about a month ago for $550. Runs and looks like new.
Stop spreading false information. I don't think you purchased the exact model for that much even for a refurbished one; maybe a 11" for $550.

I'm under the impression that it's the 64GB/256 11" based on what they paid.

The last deal that microcenter have was for a 11". This is apple to orange because there is a $200 price difference between the 11" and 12.9". Suppose the 12.9" is $550 then the 11" has to be $350.

This is the WiFi non-LTE version.

So of course this is my deal so I'm probably defensive, but I'd love to know how you think this item being at its literal lowest price ever isn't slick just because it's been there other times?
If a product has seen a similar price just a few months ago, then the current deal isn't as slick cuz you would expect the price to drop over time anyway. Meeting the previous discounted price isn't that slick by comparison, unless of course you are talking about a really big discount.

It's subjective Smilie

It's a luke warm deal. you may see it cheaper around Black Friday. Also If you must buy it now BB is the one I will choose if you have BB credit card (5+% cashback). Also you can use cashback sites to sweeten the deal.
Is BB credit card 5% off your total right away as similar to Target or more like Amazon but with expiration date?

I don't think BF is anything special anymore, which is sad- it's more of a two week event, and the things I've tracked over the last few years have been just as good in the weeks leading up and after. This has never been lower than $950, I've been watching it for weeks, so I don't expect it to go lower than 950 for BF. If it does, return it- Amazon lets you return items bought now through the end of the year for free.
Don't know why people downvoting you. It's true BF isn't all that special anymore.

However I do think this should go down another $100, at least for me to buy. Since I already ha e 2nd gen 12.9 and 3rd gen maxed out 11, no point in getting a third pro without a good deal.

So it's not as slick- definitely agree there. Does that mean it's not at all? I think your original post said it was not slick, not that it was once more so.

I see the confusion- THE original post, not yours. You replied to me asking someone else why this deal wasn't slick by saying that there was something slicker before. So now I still don't know why the original person said it wasn't slick, and I understand that you didn't say that it wasn't, only that it was even more slick a while ago.

No instant discount. You get back 5% in reward points. Here is how it works:
Get 2.5 points per $1 spent (5% back in rewards) on Best Buy purchases when you choose Standard Credit with your Best Buy Credit Card.
