I'm posting this quick because I know someone else will see it. It's $949, the cheapest it's ever been according to CCC

Walmart will price match Amazon if you prefer not to shop at Amazon, though Walmart still charges tax on the difference.

I don't think you paid that price at microcenter. You probably paid for the 11 inch versus the 12 inch...
The tech sites were all reporting that October was a lock for the iPad Pro refresh and here we are.

For what its worth, unless you are Gaming or need 13", the 12" and 10.5" Pro from a few years back still runs extremely strong, and with all the updates pushed to it, its just as good.

I literally couldn't imagine upgrading right now -- and I use heavy Graphic Design programs.

The Pros are extremely good devices, and it will last you a long time. But seriously, if you aren't editing video or intensity gaming, I really recommend buying last generation or refurbs to get the best bang for the buck. You truly wont be sorry, because by saving 1/2 the price, you can upgrade sooner later on when some dramatically new feature arises. Right now, its just newer thats all basically.

If you want a used model of this same iPad for $150 cheaper, Amazon has this model renewed (used/refurbished) for $799. Here is the link - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q8RX...UTF8&psc=1.

Per the Amazon listing "Product works and looks like new. Backed by the 90-day Amazon Renewed Guarantee."
I have read some reviews and some reported a bad unit, while others noted that the item was packed in a generic box sometimes with or without the original usb-c charging cable & power adapter. These items can be purchased separately or you can easily return the item back to Amazon within 90 days for a full refund or replacement according to the listing.

Quick comment, amazon woot and rakuten seller refurbished come from BuySPYR. They also sell on ebay. They have a 90 day warranty directly but Amazon/woot offer their own 90 days warranty/return.

I ordered 2, 1 from Woot and another from Rakuten, both looked and felt brand new except ofcourse being in a generic white box. The only reason I returned one was since I needed Apple care and both were ineligible. If you are looking for one for cheap but dont mind 90 days warranty, definently get a refurb. Rakuten is selling 64gb wifi 12.9 for 599$ which is a steal IMO.

Also news outlets have confirmed that apple is not releasing a new pro this year.

Again, you're quoting 11 inch model.
I bought at this exact price mid September from amazon.

Hi guys, is this slick? I want to get one for the wife for Christmas. Do you think it'll go lower, or is this a great deal? Also, seems like Best Buy is offering it for the same price. Which retailer do you guys recommend?

So of course this is my deal so I'm probably defensive, but I'd love to know how you think this item being at its literal lowest price ever isn't slick just because it's been there other times?

According to CCC, it reaches this price fairly often. Just because it's its "literal lowest price ever" doesn't make it slick. 1. The relatively high frequency of this deal makes it less special and less "slick". 2. Its price is expected to drop further either for BF, or when the new iPad Pro drops (likely in early 2020). 3. It's not a particularly steep discount. It's 17% off MSRP, but it's typically found at below MSRP anyways.
That being said, it's not a Bad deal, but because of its frequency, low % off, and (maybe) larger discounts in the near future, I'd call this more of a lukewarm deal than a slick one.

I am not quoting 11"

I am talking about 12.9, both woot and rakuten have had those for 600-700$. Just 3 weeks back I posted the deal for Rakuten.

Just 2 days back woot had the 12.9 cellular for 700$. I am talking agout 3rd gen.

I got the 12.9" 512 GB at Best Buy for the more flexible holiday return policy and 3x tap to pay on one of my CCs with purchase protection. Got the keyboard folio too.

Good price for me to get it now since I'm looking to use it immediately.

Check your local FB. Some are selling dirt cheap. Don't worry about it being stolen, you got their entire social life information.

Thank you Lord Zuck.

It comes down to if the new even bezel look is worth doubling the price. For me, it brings me joy every time I simply look at my new pro. Even though the curved edges, superior construction, and headphone jack on the old designs are infinitely more pleasurable in actual use, I still like to grab my slightly bent right out of box $1000 2018 pro.
