Many laptop deals have been posted in the last month.

Like comments in the previous FP thread, its still priced a bit high IMHO.

I really think it needs to break $800 to be slick. Its not bad, just not great.

For instance, you could get a Thinkbook 14s with equal or better specs for $800 recently.

I bought this same laptop at Costco a few weeks ago for $999. I considered that Black Friday is approaching, but that Costco/Visa 4-year warranty is too good... Worth the extra $100, I suppose.

Anyone have an idea of this will post lower on BF?

Crazy how cheap these laptops are getting. I regret getting my razer blade stealth a few months ago for about $1300

This comes really close to the laptop I want for gf. She will be starting school soon. I want to give her a 13-14 inch laptop that's easier to carry in the backpack, has i7 8th gen or later CPU, has SSD, 16 GB RAM. Backlit keyboard is a must so she can work on homework assignments etc from the bed at night. I don't know if she would like a touchscreen though.
My main question: do you guys expect such a laptop as I described cheaper at BF?

If it was this price at Costco i'd insta-buy. 1 year returns and 4 years repair/replace is worth at least 25% of the product price

Do I need to do anything to get that 4 year warranty or just use my Costco Visa?

The UX430UN apparently has issues with the mousepad and tracking jump. Some people reported an issue with the keyboard feel also.

For these reasons, along with the plasticky case, I chose the newer version posted here.

Yes if you are ok with screen size 15 or above. I doudt if you are looking for cheap option with 13 or 14 inch version.
