Too bad the camera on iPads suck hard.
Guess it's good iCloud exists where all your iPhone photos show up on it...or just plug your camera/card into the iPad. Also the camera isn't bad.

App store listing:

Compatibility

Requires iOS 11.1 or later. Compatible with iPad.
-------------------------
Dev Forum:

https://forum.affinity.serif.com/...or-iphone/

So....product page says iOS 11.1, but then the developers in their own forum says "no iPhone support"

What a company.
"Photo for IPad". I mean...it's right there in the title.

Just want to say Affinity is becoming a great alternative to Adobe. This app is just for iPad but it really does have all the functionality of the desktop version. Truly amazing and they are always updating it. Loads of tutorials online and the forums are very active if you have a question or need help with anything. I use both photo and designer on iPad and do basic doc setup in front of the TV or on the go, then finalize on desktop (but again, one could do it all on iPad). I have publisher too (their InDesign) and am hopeful for an iPad version next year. If you are in the fence at all, just do it.

Too bad you don't know what you're talking about. This is for editing photos on an iPad. Not for editing photos taken with an iPad. And yes I think taking photos with an iPad makes you look like an idiot but that doesn't have anything to do with the app.

Well, you could probably BUY it... but no, you won't be able to use it without one.

Any recommended tutorials? YouTube shows "Affinity Revolution" at the top
Start with the official Affinity tutorials [serif.com]; they're excellent.

Can iPad and this app handle large files taken by 5D3 or D800? Any experience?

I used Serif products back in the 90's and 2000's on a pc and they were always great. Great company too. I'm considering this so I don't have to deal with the BS that comes with google and adobe products.

If they came out with a PC product that had facial recognition like Picasa did I'd probably move my PC workflow to them.

If you're on the fence, but really considering it - I'd say just do it. You'll get your $10 out of it. I wanted to get it years ago when it was this price, but didn't have an iPad yet. A year or two ago when I did get it, it was like $15 which was the best price for a long time.
