Which means literally nothing, since the actual written warranty doesn't care either way.

As exhaustively covered in the last 9.783 LG TV threads.

While I would still recommend avoiding gray market resellers, the bigger concern with this deal is their reputation score. Check out it's profile and sort by recent ratings: https://www.newegg.com/Gameliquidations/about

Looked through the first couple pages- most of the negative comments were about shipping being slow (from a few days for some to a few weeks for others)... everyone who waited and got a TV seemed happy though.

Guess I'd avoid them if you need the set next week, but otherwise seems ok.

It's not just the warranty, man! Again, it is a crap shoot because you are buying from a third party that is sourcing the product from a foreign distributor. That means gameliquidations access to inventory will be very sporadic and unreliable. They will also use really low dollar shipping companies that have terrible customer service because they really don't care about their consumer reputation. Compare that to buydig. I purchased my LG C9 set on Saturday during their sale and it shipped via Fed Ex on Sunday. No stress or sleepless nights in exchange for $79 sales tax.

That's simply not true.

Foreign distributors don't get US models. Foreign models are different model number

You're sourcing from someone drop shipping from a US distributor- often buydig hilariously enough.

In fact when I got my C6 a couple years ago from Cleveland Plasma it arrived in a buydig box

A number of others have mentioned similar experiences with other ebay and misc 3rd party distributors.

I could see couple of comments on their website that customers got LGOLED65C9AUA instead of LGOLED65C9PUA (the only difference is PUA is WiSA ready) . Not sure should we pull a trigger or not 🧐

You don't exactly need nerves of steel to brave a third-party seller, but yeah ... it might be worth looking elsewhere if you stress out over the slightest thing or can't sleep at night worrying about your electronics possibly getting abused or lonely in transit. Smilie

Probably shouldn't be an issue for most who realize there's a possibility they could have to deal with a return and how to leverage credit card protections in the event of a problem though.

Tempting but will wait since BF is approaching and the seller reviews indicate delivery would probably occur around then.

I know there's some 3rd party website that claims that someplace- but I've yet to see any evidence it's actually true.

I have seen evidence suggesting it's not.

For example:

Quote :
LG has announced that all of its new 2019 flagship OLED and LED TVs will be WiSA-certified
(bold added for emphasis)

That said... WiSA have been around since 2013... and I've yet to meet anybody who has even met anybody who uses it or plans to.
