Chase is far more conservative with their credit lines than Citi. You may get no fee with the Slate, but they might only give you a credit line on $5,000.
If I have another chase card can I use the available balance from another card towards the chase slate?

I have this card and love it! No frills, no bs, just 2% cash back each month on all purchases. Pay your credit card in full on time each month and you won't have to worry about balance transfers and apr. Credit cards are a free 30 day loan if you pay it off each month.

The PayPal MasterCard offers 2% back on all purchases right away instead of waiting until payment to get the additional 1%, so in terms of the cash back feature, it seems strictly better than this card.

Needed a balance transfer option for an outstanding balance on a CC. Any better options out there? Seems like 18 months and 3% is pretty much as good as it gets.
american express does 18 months, zero apr and zero fee. but they only let you transfer half of whatever you qualify for.

One thing about this card I didn't realize until a few months later was you will not receive any cash back on any balance paid before you receive the statement. So make sure to always wait until the end of the billing cycle to pay to receive the other 1% for paying.

WOW! I had no idea but always wondered. Thank you for posting this... I routinely pay off my balances before statements.

Never expected a bank to do this. I have the Citi Costco VISA.. I don't think they do this. Even more so, I don't think any other banks do this (CapOne, USAA, etc).

After years of being on airline miles cards I switched to this card. I am very happy with it. Airline miles are worth an average of 1.3 cents per dollar spent these days. This card is worth 2 cents per dollar to me as a shopper. It takes VERY little effort to redeem the 2% cash back. I enjoy the value and simplicity of this card. I find the citi web site and mobile app to be stronger than alternative bank sites and apps. I don't have the time or desire to manage multiple cards.
agreed. this card is king. we charge everything on it that we possibly can. any monthly variable costs are easy to view with using just one card. we could save more if we used multiple cards but the hassle isn't worth it.

Lookup Chase Slate, they usually have balance transfer without fees.

I cancelled this card, after they took away all their travel and price protections last month. They also push their new banking service heavily, so you'll get pop-up ads constantly, and a never-ending stream of junk mail pushing their savings account and sending you 'convenience' checks. There's also a minimum redemption for cash back, $25.

I switched to a 1.5% BECU cash back credit card, so I get their decent interest for savings and checking, and the convenience of paying off the card from the same banking app or website, as well as usual credit card protection that Citi eliminated. No spam, no ads, no huge multinational bank that was heavily involved in the subprime mortgage meltdown and received billions in bailout money.
I received this card in September and in the same mailing was a brochure of all the benefits including extended warranty travel and rental car protection etc along with another page that stated these benefits would be discontinued 3 days later. Canceled the card immediately. Who wants to do a business with a company like that? Not me.
