TCL lottery is so very random it hurts. My first 6 series was perfect and still is. Told my friend to get one and his came all distorted and crappy. Took 3 replacements to get his right. Then I got a small TCL for the bedroom and it took 3 returns to Costco to get a panel that wasn't garbage...

I love my 6 series for the price, and when you get a good panel it's definitely worth it, but spinning a wheel for a good panel is rough...

It's crazy to rely on others and numbers to choose a television. Go to Best Buy. Go to Walmart. See these sets and buy the one that looks best to YOU at a price that you can live with.

This set has a 60Hz native panel, not 120Hz. It does not get bright enough for HDR or Dolby Vision. It is not an IPS panel, so the 178 degree viewing angles will be extremely poor. These sets have nice black levels and work well for gaming with good response time. You may need 3 sets before you get a good panel. Get an extended warranty. My TCon board went out in 18 months. Lots of parts available on eBay. Very easy to fix yourself if you can swap ram in a laptop, About the same skill level.

This has me second guessing the Samsung q70 65" that I've been looking at over at Costco. Never had a qled, can't afford an oled, and not sure if I want to play the tcl panel lottery. But that 75 inches, tempting.

"Quote from TheWellKnown:
It's a cut rate brand. I've never owned one, but I have heard people say they are a step below other cut rate sets like TCL. I just browsed the reviews, and this one seems to have many of the issues common associated with other cut rate lower level sets: screen issues, speaker issues, the usual suspects. It doesn't look like it's super common, but, enough that it drops the rating level to 3.2 stars. That said, it's a $300 58-in TV."

This is from the other front page deal regarding Hisense, it's getting confusing...
