Amazon offers selected Discover cardholders $10 off $50 when you use the link below to activate and use at least $.01 Discover Cashback Bonus Points. Expires 12/2/19. > Extended to 12/31/19
I am eligible. You save 20% of what you spend, up to $250 for a max discount of $50. In addition Discover It card should be 5% back on Amazon purchases. A pretty nice deal, IMO.
Be careful of this offer. I was going to buy a $250 Amazon GC and all it shows is a $5 promotional credit, instead of the $50. (Even though it said it applied the 20% promotion)
We both have Discover cards on our amazon accounts but I think he never used his Discover points on an amazon purchase but I did, and hence the different offers?

You can't buy Amazon GC or prepaid debit cards -- buy other 3rd party GCs if you want to

careful there... Offer only applies to products sold by Amazon.com (Look for "sold by Amazon Digital Services LLC" on the product detail page. Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if "fulfilled by Amazon.com" or "Prime Eligible".
For 20% off, spend $250 to get the maximum of $50 off.
Lets do basic math again. He was replying about the $10 off $50 which some of us are getting which is 20% off. Discover is also paying 5% back on Amazon.com purchases this quarter. 20% + 5% = 25%.

Works fine on 3rd party GCs that Amazon sells -- there's Best Buy, Safeway, Whole Foods, Taco Bell, Subway, Starbucks, etc
