That depends entirely on what you want to do with it. Even if only considering gaming, it depends how you prefer to play. If you're hoping to play recent games at lower resolution/quality on a very high refresh rate screen, then this CPU upgrade will make a meaningful difference. If you prefer pushing graphics settings as high as you can and running at 60fps (or lower) then you're unlikely to see much difference.

An easy way to check is look at your graphics card usage when gaming at your chosen settings. If it's consistently well below 90% and the game is still struggling to run smoothly, then your CPU is likely holding you back.

Question if someone can help.

Started with ryzen 5 1400 + gtx 1050ti 4gb
Now I've got a RX 580 8gb

Would this make a good enuff difference. ?

edit:. NVM, not a great price. 7$ more on Amazon and free same day ship.

Great processor. The 3600 is about $80 more, making this a pretty great value for 1080p/1440p gaming

If you want to do 1080p/144hz+ you may want to splurge for the 3600 or a high clocked intel part.

Not really IMO. It is an upgrade but not enough to warrant the cost.

Going from a 1600 to a 3600 maybe. But not from 16 to 26.

Back in May, even BEFORE the Zen2 release, these were $150 and came with games you could ebay for $40.

Paying the same final price as 6 months ago isn't really that slick.

Well, So Much for all those people on SD previously hollering that the 2600 wasn't going any lower than $120 -by Black Friday.
I just wish that 1600 would budge........may just have to buy one of these around $100. Great deal though.
