Just bought the z3 play from Motorola. Solid device. Only thing I miss from my pixel 2 is a more reliable camera. Apart from that, I'm very pleased with this phone.

Yes, just discard the Mint mobile sim that you would receive. Insert any sim and it should work just fine.

Agree. Had the first z play was great. Battery was awesome, but camera not so good compared to my pixel 2

Just to make sure, I can activate this on any US Carrier and disregard the mint sim?

Well, looks like skipping when Motorola had this on sale (Ended Oct 31) with free mod for the same price paid off, as I can actually use the Mint card, vs a speaker or gamepad mod I would never even unbox and have to go thru the hassle of trying to resale.
Thanks OP.

How are you even comparing this to pixel 2? They are not the same processor or spec

That akward fingerprint scanner, meh camera and no headphone jack! For $150 maybe but not that great of a phone. Also used to have a lot of network issue with Sprint!

How do you feel the camera holds up compared to the pixel? I know the pixel is better, but do you find the z3 horrible in comparison?

Have a z2 Force and hate being stuck on Oreo and having no HD or Wifi Calling (have the Sprint version but using I on ATT network).

Wondering if switching to the z3 play would be worth it.

Grabbed an unlocked 32gb Z3 Play during the $50.00 Bestbuy/Verizon deal. Really nice phone with a great screen but I don't care for the old style wide frame. Pretty much the same reason I sold both my Z2 Forces. It's definitely worth $150.00 all day long.

Camera is acceptable, at best. Poor low light quality, slow to pull up when you need it, but colors are vibrant. I'm trying to use my camera less so the trade off was acceptable when I get things like the Moto mods (in particular the extra 2200mah battery). I love the SD card support. I'm moving of the cloud so this is a great feature.
The screen is brighter (504nits I think vs 440 pixel 2), so it's good to look at.

I already have mint, can i use the attached card to add more months to my plan or you have to activate new number to use the $60 plan attached.

I'm not saying they're the same phone, saying I don't miss a better spec phone.
