For anyone looking to actually play the game, it can get very tough (even on the easiest difficulty). I could not beat the game, and I consider myself to be an average gamer.

That said, I had a blast playing the game as it was my first XCOM game ever, even if the difficulty got to be too much for me.

If you want punishing play "xcom" 2012 or what ever. it might take 3-4 game restarts just so you dont get a squad wipe in the first 2 missions.

Id say the problem with xcom2 is mid to late game. By that time you dont even need cover, just bum rush everything, most pods will never even get a shot off.

That feels like a pretty big overstatement. War of the Chosen was a nice DLC, but it was hardly an evolution in the game. It added faction members and put some unique bosses, but the core gameplay and mission is the same, right?

Your strategy must be off, or you have it on a hard setting. I'm not a great gamer, and I can beat the game on easy never losing a single person (some save/loads obviously).

Walmart seller jands also sells the xbox one "collection" on ebay for the same $12.50. Seems reputable.
