Not at all, Focus Camera is an authorized camera website and I've purchased from them a lot of items without any issue. Their customer service was really helpful when I had to change the address on one of my items. It sells a wide variety of items, don't hesitate if you're interested in the headphones.

I fact they are among handful sites that are fully authorized by big brands, like canon, Nikon etc

Reviews of Focus Camera:
BBB [bbb.org]
Trustpilot [trustpilot.com]
Yelp [yelp.com]
ResellerRatings [resellerratings.com]

An east coast electronics store that may not be the best, but isn't fishy.

While I know these are a lower-end model, can anyone comment on how the sound signature might compare to their popular m50x?

I've spent thousands with them on camera gear with no issues. They ship fast, and customer service is, in my experience, on point.

These have the same specs as the ath m20x, but the cord is removable which is nice. Dang, if only I waited I could of had these over the logitech g433.

less bass as they are 40mm drivers versus them ath m50x's 50mm drivers, but they are fantastic sounding if you are on a budget. It is barley noticable, unless you an audiophile. These are better than even most 50mm headsets because this company makes good headphones.

These are wired, not Bluetooth, for anyone wondering (suffering from lack of a headphone jack). Nice looking cans nevertheless. USB C to 3.5mm adapters are under $5 at Amazon and eBay.

Anyone like me who is in the market for a good pair of cans, this is probably(!) one of the best sub $100 pair you'll find.

There are few reviews, but on paper, it seems that these will beat out the m40x in every regard except max input power and straight cable size. They both include detachable coiled cables and straight, but the 40 has a much longer straight and both include a long coiled cable. Also, the 40 comes with a pouch and I don't think these do.

The frequency response for this one is truly outrageous for the price, 10k more than the 40 on the high end and even deeper bass, and the impedance is lower than even the m30x, so these will sound good on low-power devices like phones and the PS4 controller. I'm looking forward to testing these.
