My 11lbs of chocolate smooth just arrived moments ago. Weirdly it reads 2.2 lbs of unflavored 🤔🤔

Did you have to provide them with a screenshot or anything? Looks like they updated the product page to reflect 2.2lbs now.

I also got 2.2lbs sadly

Also got 2.2lb bags. Chatted with Amazon rep and explained the mixup. He offered a full refund as the only option, but then once that was done, he said that a return was not necessary and that i could keep the product. Yay for free protein!

What's it taste like? Unflavored whey is getting an uptick in use but I remember someone telling me many years ago it tasted like dried soured milk, but that makes no sense because I assumed it tastes like Nido, the whole milk powder not the one for kids.

I didn't hop on this offer because ordering whey from Amazon has been a headache in the past with close expiration dates sans that sweet ON deal a year or two ago. That and the price for this seemed too good to be true.

There's definitely no sour milk taste. Never had Nido or any other powdered milk, but i'd imagine it tastes pretty similar; tho maybe less creamy. Mixed with water, I'd describe the taste as a watered down milk, but with the consistency/viscosity of a normal protein shake. These two characteristics make for an unusual combination so I can see how some ppl may not like it, but to me, it's fine. If you mix it with other things, like milk instead of water, or use it in a blended smoothie with some fruits, it tastes pretty good. I also like using a scoop of a flavored protein powder and a scoop of the unflavored in order to dilute as I find most flavored proteins to be too sweet.

Nido is like a full fat powdered milk you'd take camping. When reconstituted, it tastes like regular whole milk albeit room temperature.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't expecting a reply but I appreciate the effort you put in. What I gather is that it's like skim milk, but slightly thicker and packing more protein, right? I guess I've have to look into it now and see if it's something I could use. I sneak in a couple scoops into cakes and cookie recipes now just so there's a little more protein in each cookie. I've used vital wheat gluten in some cookies like chocolate chip so there's more chewiness and not crispy or cakey for that matter.

Do you have a screenshot you can share? I thought I took one, but can't locate.

Glad I could help. Skim milk would be a decent comparison tho it still doesn't taste exactly like that. It's hard to describe the difference. I don't think it's bad and you can get used to it.
