Its there in Target Black Friday deal as well. And you can save additional 5% with Target redcard I think.
Yeah, but it does not have all the accessories. First thing I would do would with this kit is play with the 2x telephoto on the 70-300mm.

Same price at Costco. No flash but a memory card. More warranty. I think it is 50 less on BF in the Costco ad. Not sure if that is right. Also, I pay tax at both places..

The 2x telephoto will have a bad outcome. I tried a good one on a 70-300vr before I forked over the money for a 150-600.

Yup. Bang for the buck and high quality images for under $400.! A great travel, family, hiking, general photography camera. I had the D3400, sold it for the D5300 and also have the D7200. Same sensor in all. The BIG plus is that both of these kit lenses are outstanding! Even though the 70-300 is not VR, if you up the ISO (shoot auto if new) and learn to hold steady, the lens is great. These lenses are silent, fast to focus, and light. Don't be concerned about mirrorless as you will not get better IQ, but possibly some better AF. Learn the tool! If undecided and still want to check out mirrorless, visit a real camera shop, take your sd card, and shoot them all. Personally, I cant get with the Sony a6000 series due to poor ergonomics (especially with a big zoom) or their menu. It's a excellent camera, but not for my taste.

For those bargain hunters, I saw the Canon T5i with kit 18-55 refurbished at $269 which is a outstanding deal to get into DSLR. It's a very good camera and comes with the Canon 1 year warranty.
I am a noob to the Cameras world and I know my wife would love one for Christmas especially our first baby is on the way 🙂

But which is better this Nikon or the Canon T6 bundle? Same price

Looking more for a beginner camera specifically with good video reputation (seems as if this camera is not the best for that). Any recommendations on what I should be looking for on BF? Thanks!

The Z6, with no lenses, is more than $1,000 more expensive than the camera posted...That one shouldn't even be mentioned in this thread.
You obviously do not understand that I was replying to someones question about lenses, not telling then to purchase a more expensive camera.

How would this work for usage in real estate..I want to use it to update and take better listings both pics and video. Update and document repairs keep records clearly of remodel progess. Shoot better wide anlge view of rooms etc make the listing show better online than the cameras we have which are dated in our office??. maybe even use to post on listings video tours online.......

Then secondly maybe for vacation travel and family.. Not trying to be Marlin Perkins!

The camera is just fine, but you'd need a wider lens than the 18-55 it comes with. A lot of people with this size of Nikon camera get the "Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 10-20mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Lens"; it's a lot nicer for interior work... along with a tripod and some work on lighting!

Thanks for the info.. What would that lense (or equvalent one that works with Nikon) cost as an add on? Also any tips as to where to buy at good $$.. just to price out the investment?

How does the Bluetooth work? Does it easily transfer photos to iPhone?

I have an older Canon rebel t3 from many years ago. Haven't used it because iPhone is just easier. But now that we have our second baby, we want to get back into using a dslr but find photo transfer to computer very cumbersome (we don't use computers much!)

Is this a worthy upgrade from the canon t3?

Not sure about the price point of the Nikon P 10-20. I have shot quite a few Real Estate listings with a Sigma 10-20mm that was the best Bang for the buck 4-5 years ago.

Nikon wins this comparison. Now if you want to move up the Canon ladder, the T6i or T7i with articulating screen is great for video and I do prefer (as others do) Canon AF with video.
