Watch where? Lame Xfinity doesn't really provide simple apps on any platform except mobile devices.

Unclear exactly what it is they are offering. So Flex is basically a streaming device? So what if you have xfinity internet but not tv?

This looks like it's a user interface (they call it a dashboard) that only combines some apps like Netflix and Prime Video in one spot.

Basically...useless

I suspect that if you use this interface to go to an app you use (like Netflix) xfinity probably gets a kickback. I would also bet they get to track your usage.

Now...if they offered me a discount on my monthly bill to use this - then maybe I would but otherwise....

meh...not needed.

Agreed, I would use it for a discount in my bill.

Looks like it's a streaming box that is 4K capable that would probably be good for someone who doesn't use Xfinity for TV and doesn't already own a streaming device (since you get this for free and no need to buy a 4K Roku, Fire stick, or Chromecast). Downside is you don't really get every streaming service on here, just what they offer, but at least you get a voice remote with it and it's free. I can see how someone who just has Xfinity internet might get in on this to use on a TV they don't already have a streaming device on.

If you already have an X1 box you already get Netflix and Prime that can be used with their remote so not sure this would be any better for people who have X1. It would just be an extra box to take up space for those people.

If you have your own modem. It requires their own gateway. While they have changed it to allow personal modems, the customer service is totally clueless and will refuse to activate the flex. May even end up deactivating your own modem when trying. Not worth the hassle going through with this.

Can you watch Xfinity tv with this? I have Internet only and can watch on tablet but not on tv using their application.

Does this box still go against your Xfinity Data Cap? If it doesn't I might consider this since I use close to 1TB a month.

Oh yeah its just a streaming device. When you cancel service with Xfinity, you need to return it back. Another hassle.

Judging from the fine print, this device is $5/month if you have any TV boxes. No thanks, I stream from my tablet for free.
