How does that compare with the WD Elements 8TB drive for 106 on Amazon? For someone not adamant about 12 TB storage in a single drive, 8TB makes more sense with respect to Price/TB

Show me $106. Amazon 8TB WD elements is $124 and technically out of stock til next week.

You can get 15% rewards back if you use an Amazon store/credit card. So it's not technically $106 upfront, but still a good deal.

Bought a 10TB to shuck and it wouldn't power on. Something about the 3rd pin blocking it. Ended up returning.
Issue fixed with <1 minutes YouTube search.

Damn! I'm trying to fill out my NAS and only need 3 10tb! 3 12tb will end up with 6tb of unused space!

Sweet deal. Thanks for posting. Cancelled my back order for the 8tb at Newegg and grabbed this instead. Will give my Plex server some nice breathing room over its current 7tb capacity.
