I still haven't played the first Shadow of Mordor GOTY I got for $5 on the PC years ago. While this is a good deal for consoles, I'll keep waiting for Shadow of War Definitive Edition PC to drop. I might jump in at $6, though knowing me it'll take years for me to get around to it.

Just have to add that Steam just went live with this on" sale" for 16 dollars. But valve decided to keep that as the standard edition. With the Defenitive edition being $23.99

What a joke valve. Seriously

Just a tip, add the DLC before you start playing the game. The slaughter and outlaw clans just add new enemy types into the main game, no new content.

I beat the game, then downloaded the DLC. By the time the new clans were there I didn't care about playing the game anymore. Also, I didn't particularly care for the Desolation of Mordor expansion, but that's purely my opinion.

I think the Definitive Edition has the same contents as the Gold Edition minus the steel case packaging. Both have the base game disc plus a season type of DLC.

I bought this at launch and I still play it. I love how you can build your orc Army and use them to fight in huge battles, send them on missions and put them in arena battles just for fun. This post game content is isn't repetitive at all because every Orc is soooo unique. Their look, voice and overall personality his wondrous. I have over 200 hrs played and still go back to it. For $12 this is a steal. You get both story DLC's that are completely different gameplay than the base game and you also get the bonus tribes...whic gives you even more unique orcs. BUY THIS! I'm an older gamer and I play nearly everything out there...and this is definitely one of my favorites on current gen.FYI... The reason this game had lower review scores and gets hate is because it had a ton of micro transactions at launch. I thought the hate was dumb because the only benefit of them were to build a tough army ASAP...which made playing the game pointless. Anyways...they removed them months later but the seed was already planted in the followers of the world who base their opinions on others reviews. I hate microtransactions and they do ruin games, but they aren't going anywhere anytime soon, so as long as they don't cause unfair play, you have to look past them on games like this. If the rich kid wants to spend $50 of his parents money to have an army that would take me 100 hrs to recruit, whatever. In the end, I will have the enjoyment of actually earning it and will have gained more of a relationship with my Army over time, which makes it well worth it.

That price has never been for XB1 or PS4. He may mean PC. I can't vouch for that though.
