Military and Veterans - 10% discount at apple store - e.g. Airpods Pro $224

Military and Veterans discount available at the Apple Store drops the price on many products, including the ever-on-the-front-page AirPods Pro @ $224

https://www.apple.com/us_epp_8051...o?fnode=79

How to get them for this price:
1) follow the link - or go to www.apple.com [apple.com] and scroll all the way down to the bottom, and under "For Government", select "Shop for Veterans and Military"
2) you will need to verify through id.me super easy process, choose your current status (active, reserve, veteran, etc), and fill in the requested info. It was able to verify me within about 15 seconds. for the date, try not to use your first or last day, it had problems verifying me so I picked a day in the middle of my enlistment and no problem.
3) Once you're verified it will take you back to the store and the new prices will be visible.
4) scroll down to accessories, and then scroll down to AirPods

other prices:

Apple watches series 5 start at $399 normally, $359 in military/veterans store
Apple TV 4K $179 normally, $161 in military/veterans store
iPhone 11 Pro starts at $999 normally, $899 in military/veterans store
etc

not huge discounts, but in some cases better than every other deal out there, especially if you live in a state with no sales tax. Also note the additional 3% cash back with the Apple card (no annual fee)

Interesting, I was sure it was 5% most of the year. Hopefully with this post more military and veterans find out about the 10% and save a few $$ too.

Also the AirPods price with the Apple Card 3% back at Apple is effectively $218, which is much lower than all the other deals out there.

It's not a fixed percent. Discount varies by product with some recieving no discount. Airpods Pro were only discounted starting a few days ago.

Thank you for this. I've been on the Apple site everyday for at least two weeks stalking phones and never saw the military or veteran shopping link on the bottom. Looking in to it now.

Do you happen to know the price for the iPhone 11? Does it also work on refurbished?

yes to both.

The regular new price starts at $699, for military and veterans it's $629 (10% off)

for refurbs, they only have 8+ and X models right now, but the pricing is 10% lower under the military/veterans store
e.g. iphone x 256GB space gray unlocked - $809 normal, $728 military/veterans

Thanks for the reminder to check. I actually bought some through Costco, but they're not shipping for a couple weeks. At the time, the apple.com site was showing they wouldn't be available via the veteran store till Dec 3rd and I want to test them on a couple of flights.

I looked and they had some at a local store! So I go them with the veteran discount, paid less than Costco, and picked them up same day.

Always appreciate the reminder of Apple's military discount.

The airpods are also sold at shopmyexchange.com for $248 and no tax. Would be about the same depending on tax rate. Also, if they were in stock right now, you could get an additional 10% off.

There have also been similar or better deals on watches lately.

And it's still a terrible price after 10% discount. Lol

It is. Especially after you add the average 7% (9% in NYC) sales tax on top of it.

If you can go to a no sales tax state AND get 10% off, that's a good price.

I know right, voted this post down. Its not a slickdeal
It's a Slickdeal if you didn't know Apple gave a military/veteran discount.

I appreciate the original poster posting this, saved me some money.
