what is the advantage to having google assistant in your headphones versus just using it on the phone? I guess the main advantage is being able to press a button on the headphones versus your phone?
Yeah that's pretty much it, you don't have to take your phone out of your pocket. Just tell Google to call somebody, play some music, set a reminder, etc.
Pretty trashy customer service. They failed to deliever the product and told me to take it up with fedex. Paypal got my money back but good luck processing warranty with them.
I'm not the guy you were talking to, but I might as well mention the Aukey B60s. I'm wearing them right now. USB C, magnetic on/off, and a great fit.
There was a deal on them recently
My magic pair would be an over the ear style with USB C. If the new beats were USB C I would have made an exception to my no beats rule. no idea why beats and apple decided to use lightning when they are clearly moving to USB c in everything soon enough
These are okay. I paid$50 a few months back. $25 seems about what they're worth. The cords are too long which become a hassle. You can do live language translation on these.

There are options that use USB type C, like urlhasbeenblocked headphones. Quility is not 10/10
oh nice deal. but i always wonder, did they really ever cost $100 and did anyone ever buy it for that?? i mean now its quarter the price, it seems a bit random.. but 25bucks for JBL sweet

It was hell when I had to do a warranty claim. Took over a month to get a replacement for DOA. They took about a week for each reply and they lost email transcript on the 3rd week. They finally issue a rma after the 6th week.
I have this and the Sony WI-C400 (MSRP of only $70); and the Sony is superior in every regards - so the $100 MSRP is definitely out-of-touch; I'd say today, the 110GA should be $60 MSRP tops. The Sony has better sound (bass gets lower), 20 hours of battery instead of 8 on the JBL, Sony has Bluetooth 4.2 instead of 4.1, easier to pair on the Sony (I've had many pairing issues with JBL's), etc. At $26, I'd say it's a good deal, but not a stellar deal after comparing it to current offerings.
