I'm not the guy you were talking to, but I might as well mention the Aukey B60s. I'm wearing them right now. USB C, magnetic on/off, and a great fit.

There was a deal on them recently

Aren't most earbuds micro USB? I feel like we're just starting to see USB-C charging ports on earbuds. Is that what you are searching for? Just curious?

Yeah, I got that deal. $25. Really good. Gave them to my son for his b-day.

Yea, that is what I'm searching for because it's a huge hassle to bring another cable with you everywhere just in case your earbuds die on you. USB c makes it easy and seamless while being unified. Currently, all my devices are USB c so I just have to bring a single cable with me (phone, laptop, etc) Again, it might be ok for some, but just personally I know that in a couple of years micro will be gone, and C will take over all, so I'd pay a bit extra just for that convenience. First world problems lol

what is the advantage to having google assistant in your headphones versus just using it on the phone? I guess the main advantage is being able to press a button on the headphones versus your phone?

Working out would be the biggest advantage I see. My phone stays in a arm band when I work out. I can still touch the phone screen but it's a hassle.

Any idea how the microphone is on this for phone calls? The eBay description says "crystal clear hands free calls".
