Considering the first Chromebook came out 8 years ago, I'd agree that if you have one that's over 10 years old you should replace it

This is a premium build chromebook with a 3/4 aluminum build, backlit keyboard, glass TouchPad, etc. I don't understand how people can't see past it being a chromebook and just recommending a bunch of laptops that don't compare.

I for one use a chromebook on a daily basis for college and work, I've never once wished it was a windows laptop. I understand that some people need them, but a lot of people don't.

I have this. Got it at the same price. Plenty of speed. Glass track pad feels great. Best value I've seen for a Chromebook. Wish I had bought it sooner.

10% cashback today only from one very popular portal.
$30 back on $300 via targeted Amex offer.

Note: I'd buy the "open-box" for $313 plus tax.

No, it doesn't. I'm typing this right now on a HP Pavillion 14 so old it has the pre-standard keyboard with dedicated delete, home and end keys and a removable battery. It's been out of date for YEARS, but it never leaves my house and has never had a security problem whatsoever. It's one of 6 chromebooks I have. It has a removable battery and is built like a tank compared to many other chromebooks.

I live in the semi-boonies, with a farm right next to me, for instance. Please tell me exactly what security threat you believe I face. Be specific, and a credible link would be nice.

Review for the current x360 chromebook. Terrible display with 68% srgh coverage and 214 nits.

Guy just posted at chromeunboxed dot com that hes purchasing it right now and see what kind of display this refreshed version has (almost everything seems the same) and if its any better or worse.

I would advise and check it out in store or wait for some type of review before you buy

Specs for the price is obviously great on this deal

their naming is quite confusing, not sure if this model is x360. This is the only thing i found for this model number from hp web site. There are a couple of youtube guy giving high praise on this. still not sure if this is the same one.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/docu...63285#AbT0

these two looks similar the white ones on bestbuy with same configuration.

No they don't. 4 of my Chromebooks stopped getting updates almost 2 years ago and I still use these Acer C710 2834s everyday.

I love my Chromebook, but it's over 10 years old and slow. I need a new one and I'm tempted by this.

Was there any developments of running Windows programs on a new Chromebook via emulation?
