I did loads of research (see what I did there), for a previous purchase and just noticed this deal popped up for Black Friday. This is the best washing machine for most people. It is the model most similar to the #1 pick from Wirecutter (WM3770, which I own and love, but is being discontinued) and it is #1 rated by Consumer Reports. WM3900 and WM3770 are superior to WM3700 ($100 cheaper), due to the Turbo wash feature which can wash a load in 30 mins thanks to special 360 degree jets, this cycle is real value not fluff.

Lowes and Home Depot just slashed prices on appliances for BF, but I'd go with Lowes due to much more generous return policy (30 days vs 48 hours) and ability to get 10% off codes at Lowes that make this deal even Slicker. You may also be able to get rebates from your local utility for going green.

Where are people getting 10% off Lowes coupon?
They make their own, which isn't as easy as it used to be, get them in the mail, or they buy from auction style sites, like eBay

I'd say definitely go with Costco, I just purchased this set (washer/dryer) last night and while it did cost me about $100 more than going with HomeDepot/Lowes, there are no delivery/installation/haul-away costs. That would have easily been over $100. Not to mention buying it with my Citi card, which gives me 2 additional years of warranty ( 4 total = 2 LG + 2 Citi).
Last I checked, delivery and installation is free at HD and Lowes also
BUT i am with you for buying at Costco .... easy returns if need be and additional 3% (I think) in citi cash back.

What's the matching dryer to this? Is it also on sale? I'd prefer gas over electric.
Is there any advantage for using Gas over Electric?

I was looking at buying this extensively last night from multiple vendors. There is also a promotion going on for $150 off/rebate if you buy the $400 Sidekick Pedestal. I'm replacing a Samsung washer and from my limited research the old pedestal might not be compatible. A new LG standard pedestal is $250 so with the $150 off/rebate it is practically a free upgrade. You will need to buy hoses and possibly pay a separate install fee.

Does anyone know how much Lowes charge for install? Couldn't comparison shop with them since they don't price it online.

Best Buy is free install for washer with $30 hose purchase. Sidekick is $30 install and $30 hose purchase. Haul Away is $20. It comes with $75 BB gift card with purchase. $150 rebate is instant.

Home Depot has is similar to Best Buy except Haul Away is $25 and not $75 gift card.

Lowes I don't know install fees. $150 off is a rebate so you're paying ~$12 extra in tax and have to deal with rebate.

Costco doesn't sell Sidekick individually.

Sam's Club does sell them individually but doesn't have $150 instant off. LG website has a online rebate form but states Sams/BB/HD are excluded since the discount is given at point of sale. This isn't true on website but maybe I'll have better luck in store. I kind of want to use Sams since its free install and parts which would save me $90 which is slightly cheaper than Best Buy after factoring in gift card. Also comes with 2 year warranty standard and 4 year extended warranty is $75 which is a better deal than the $150/$160 HD/Lowes/BB charges for 5 year warranty.

Gas cost a lot less to run. Many homes you don't really have a choice. The home is either wired for one or the other. The Electric doesn't run on a standard outlet.

My home has both connections available (gas and electric).I am replacing an electric dryer so I will continue to use electric.

Can't remember if it was Samung or LG that had remote start option for dryer but it was only available for electric models for safety reasons so that's one advantage to electric model.

I'd honestly recommend gas if you have the option. Usually gas is a little more $ up front (not always), but you save in the long haul. Also gas typically dries better over electric. Although to some I'm sure it could be debated.

My wife and I just bought this and the dryer from Sears because they are having 10% off appliance purchases through their app and another 10% off for using Sears Card. Plus they have $100 in Shop Your Way Cashback rewards when you spend $100+.

Here was our breakdown of cost:
Washer + Dryer + Sidekick Pedestal including installation for $2,099.97
-10% off for shopping in app -$189 (not sure the math there)
-10% off for Sears card -$210
+Sales tax +$139.23
+Installation $145.xx
-$50.41 redeemed points

Total: $1934.79

-$118 in SYW cashback
-$150 LG rebate for buying sidekick with washer purchase

$1,666.79 net cost unless I'm missing something.

Thanks for letting us know about the 10% app discount.

For Washer/Sidekick with delivery/install/haul away it comes to $1,285 - $150 rebate = $1,135 + $111 SYW

Best Buy is $1,221 - $75 gift card which is $1,146.

Sears is better deal without SYW cashback which I don't put too much value in since its broken into 4 installments and you have 2 weeks to use each time. Only con is earliest delivery date for Las Vegas is 11 January 2020. My washer is semi-broken right now so I don't think I can wait that long. Best Buy can come as early as Monday.

Gas has to be vented outside, electric just needs a 220v outlet.

I'm planning to buy this from Costco because of the inexpensive warranty. An additional 3 years of Square Trade warranty is only $80, making the total $910 including delivery, installation, and removal of old appliance.
Have you ever used the square trade policy on appliances? I know people typically hate these but I wonder if Costco would stand behind it.

My pleasure, it really pushed me over the edge on these. The sale and all these 10% offs saved me $700 over what I would've paid for this literally a week ago.

Luckily my delivery date in Southern California is 11/16, much more doable than January...now the task will be finding a pedestal for the dryer that will deliver soon.

You need a wifi washer why🙄
