I did loads of research (see what I did there), for a previous purchase and just noticed this deal popped up for Black Friday. This is the best washing machine for most people. It is the model most similar to the #1 pick from Wirecutter (WM3770, which I own and love, but is being discontinued) and it is #1 rated by Consumer Reports. WM3900 and WM3770 are superior to WM3700 ($100 cheaper), due to the Turbo wash feature which can wash a load in 30 mins thanks to special 360 degree jets, this cycle is real value not fluff.

Lowes and Home Depot just slashed prices on appliances for BF, but I'd go with Lowes due to much more generous return policy (30 days vs 48 hours) and ability to get 10% off codes at Lowes that make this deal even Slicker. You may also be able to get rebates from your local utility for going green.

Last I checked, delivery and installation is free at HD and Lowes also
BUT i am with you for buying at Costco .... easy returns if need be and additional 3% (I think) in citi cash back.
Correct. Lowe's Installation is free and haul away is $20. Source: I bought a washer two weeks ago.

They did make me buy a new set of hoses during purchase saying they would not use the old/existing hoses for a new install - nonsense. I will be returning the new hoses this weekend.

Has LG fixed the issue with mold accruing in the door gasket? We had a similar set 4 years ago. Despite a rigorous program on our part of cleaning with bleach, cleaning tablets, toothbrush, you name it... still could not get rid of the constant musty smell coming back.

We trashed them and got top loaders.

I just placed an order from Costco last night.
Didn't purchase Square Trade warranty due to the my bad experience in the past (bought the St warranty for a phone and wasn't able to use it when phone battery kept on draining very quickly)

When you go to the Lowe's store the price is actually 698 not 798. We went to purchase this on Tuesday when the sale started. We however decided to go with a much stronger duo by Maytag, it's a COMMERCIAL grade washer that is at 648 and it is usually $1100 each.
Lowe's is giving a rebate on ALL appliances, a bigger rebate than Home Depot and Lowe's coverage is impeccable!!! We have been doing research for over a year on both HD and Lowe's and Lowe's by far has a more reliable policy.
The one reason why we chose not to go with this LG brands was because the length in time for repair due to their manufacturers being in S. Korea and read much that the WiFi wasn't that great so we went with the Maytag which it is a beast! -Maytag washer MHW5630HC we both the gas dryer with it.

DEAL IS LIMITED TO WHAT IS AVAILABLE AT THE WAREHOUSE!!
Can u please provide link to the maytag set you purchased?

I'm curious about this too. I recently purchased my first home and realized the mold issue with the door gasket. I was planning on buying new appliances this BF but hesitant to go the sideload route again.

Imho pedestal washer is a gimmick, unlikely to provide a good wash and something else to break.
I respectfully disagree. I have pedestal washer for another LG washer and it is worth the investment , depending on lifestyle. It was only $150 more than regular pedestal so not significant investment but we use it all the time for quickly washing favorite shirt, running shorts, kids load etc. It actually does a decent job for that tiny device. One thing to remember though, it has its own plug so we had to upgrade the plug to 20 amp plug .

Just my opinion so take it as you wish but my wife and I swear that we will never do a front load W/D again. Seems like it that musty smell issue is more common than not with the inherent way that the door gasketing is designed. Zero issues with it on toploaders and they were cheaper.

We used to get the same issue and couldn't get rid of the smell no matter what. Then when we bought new washer we got great tip. They told us once the load was done, leave the door and the soap dispenser tray fully open. It allows the water to dry and reduced mold.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on these but need to make sure they'll fit in the laundry room. They look like beasts.

I just got a 15% off total purchase HD coupon from a home refinance so seems like a good time to use it.

Also, HD has an instant rebate. No forms, no waiting around. I added a new fridge, range, dishwasher combo and got an extra $600 off for the instant rebate. Seems like a no Brainer compared to waiting for a gift card.

Thanks for posting this deal.
I checked Costco for this model and the price is $830 which is $30 more then what you posted but can have upto 4 years of warranty (if using Citi card).
Do you think its worth it buying from Costco?
Yes really worth for 2 Years warranty + 24 months City Card extended warranty claims. So 4 years. I would say buy combo. Washer Dryer.

https://www.costco.com/.product.1314740.html

Really worth. LG gives mail in Rebate if you buy washer + Dryer+ Sidekick.

$150 rebate. Since buying from Costco we cannot avail for this. But from Lowe's you can avail this offer.

When you compare 4 years warranty with Costco+ Citi e. It's really worth buying in Costco. + 90 day return policy. If you feel it's LG, 4 years is not required. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot.

Agreed!!! We tried that same approach as well and we still had issues. One thing that also helped was cleaning the lower filter much more often than recommended by the manufacturer.

I have the 1 generation older version with just the 2 jets for turbowash. I now feel inadequate. I wonder if it makes a big difference or not.
