I did loads of research (see what I did there), for a previous purchase and just noticed this deal popped up for Black Friday. This is the best washing machine for most people. It is the model most similar to the #1 pick from Wirecutter (WM3770, which I own and love, but is being discontinued) and it is #1 rated by Consumer Reports. WM3900 and WM3770 are superior to WM3700 ($100 cheaper), due to the Turbo wash feature which can wash a load in 30 mins thanks to special 360 degree jets, this cycle is real value not fluff.

Lowes and Home Depot just slashed prices on appliances for BF, but I'd go with Lowes due to much more generous return policy (30 days vs 48 hours) and ability to get 10% off codes at Lowes that make this deal even Slicker. You may also be able to get rebates from your local utility for going green.

Never pay this much for a washer these days. Just isn't worth it. This is a real case of "they don't make them like they used to". The more basic, the better. Ask an appliance guy. $500 tops

Reading the description this does not include the pedestal washer. That's an extra $400.
pedestal is like $200 not $400

I'm actually moving. Does Lowes still do the 10% off for change of address coupon?

Having warranty is important these days (sigh!). Even though LG is #1 in reliability, and seemingly very good (much better than others, incl. Samsung), they still could have issues and customer service is overseas etc. You can always use Costco Visa card at any retailer to get the extra 2 years, stacked on top of manufactures 1 yr, for a total of 3 yr. And if you buy from Costco then it'd be 4 years, as you suggest. Don't forget you can get Lowes 10% codes and stack, so price difference could be $110, for that difference I'd probably go with Lowes.
I've tried using coupons in store, however it was not working during the Black Friday deals. Someone said Lowe's wanted to eliminate double dipping

Meh, I don't need all the fancy bells and whistles that new washers 'provide' (especially Wi-Fi). I'm very happy with my old school knob-style speed queen washer and dryer. Plus parts are easily accessible and they are user servicable.

My wife and I just bought our washer and dryer. Best discount would be buy a 20% off competitors (Home Depot) coupon from eBay and use it at Lowe's. So, for example, this washer $798 -159 (20% off) = 638.40 before tax. If you buy both washer and dryer, you'll get extra $75 dollar in gift card. That's a screaming deal.

Lowe's also have great warranties too. Before the warranty ends, If you end up not using your warranties at all, call Lowe's and they'll refund you 30% cost.

Yes really worth for 2 Years warranty + 24 months City Card extended warranty claims. So 4 years. I would say buy combo. Washer Dryer.

https://www.costco.com/.product.1314740.html

Really worth. LG gives mail in Rebate if you buy washer + Dryer+ Sidekick.

$150 rebate. Since buying from Costco we cannot avail for this. But from Lowe's you can avail this offer.

When you compare 4 years warranty with Costco+ Citi e. It's really worth buying in Costco. + 90 day return policy. If you feel it's LG, 4 years is not required. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot.
Citi removed extended warranty benefit from many cards in September, have you checked yours?

Front load washers, I have been trough 3 various brands in the last 10 years, they dont seem to last. All of them failed with same issue, drum separated from body. Make sure you get your extended warranties on all of these. Seems like top load washers last forever though.

Was delivery through Lowes online store weird for anyone else? I placed my order and the delivery area didn't have a place to select a date just said they would contact me. Then my email order confirmation shows the dryer being delivered Saturday and washer being delivered Sunday. Just curious if anyone else had there orders delivered separate days...seems odd.

Exactly. My Whirlpool w and d are 23 years old and still working great. Same with the 23 year old Whirlpool Fridge. A couple repair guys said to fix the old washer when it breaks as its better built and washes better.

Some one can claim the above Fake News if their WiFi enabled top loader is still working in 23 years.

We bought this washer/dryer pair and it's great, EXCEPT FOR THE APP! We wanted to be able to wash/dry clothes (start or stop cycle) away from the house, or add extra time to the cycle from upstairs, but the app is buggy, worthless trash. When buying these, just assume you're purchasing without wifi capabilities and you won't be disappointed.
