"This FDA Approval Thermometer equip with 4-6 Seconds reading out speed brings you accurate and healthy temp"

4-6 Seconds is not instant read for many of us.

or a thermopro https://www.amazon.com/ThermoPro-...540&sr=8-5 [amazon.com]

lasts longer and they make much more expensive models
Thermopro and Thermpen are two different companies and the Thermapen is the expensive brand.

Ditto what some others have said. Skip this junk and pay a bit more for for a Thermoworks ThermoPop when they go on sale. Or at least buy something from a reputable name brand. I personally trust Thermoworks for their high quality and testing standards.

it wasn't too long ago that the one to get was thermoworks.

FakeSpot gives it a C with 60% being real but since these things are so cheap they can easily get a ton of reviews.

Someone already said it, but you should look into the Meater. My brother and I each got ours as backers for the Kickstarter campaign. It took about a year longer then they anticipated to deliver, but the result was worth the weight. They work well and are built well. My brother and I each have the 4-place wi-fi enabled Meater Block version. Bluetooth connectivity can be a bit weak if the unit is completely enclosed, but the wi-fi capability will help with that depending on how you choose to use it.

After powering through a ton of cheap thermometers I sprung for a Thermopop. So incredibly worth the money. I've never changed the battery in it and it looks brand new. Have had it for probably 5 years and use it constantly.

I would recommend a few dollars more for waterproof (I have killed too many of these with liquid in so many ways - rain, dew, washing, dropping, etc)

You want something with a fan to control the heat in that type of smoker. Trust me.

I have a Javelin Pro that works fantastic, but it also is regularly priced at around $50. I was hoping it was cheaper so I could recommend it from a couple of years of heavy usage.

In the meantime, I ran across this ThermoPro that you can get for $12.99, $11.70 by clicking the 10% box. Lot of really good reviews, big name brand in this area.
