I used this mouse at work for quite a while. Honestly, it is probably the least favorite modern mouse I've ever used. The shape sucks, the scroll wheel sucked and eventually only worked sporadically. The m705 is currently $26 at BB and gets down to $20 during some sales and it is 100x better than this mouse.
agreed, I got the blue one when it was $16 from amazon for use in office. There's almost no ergonomic design at all in this mouse. The material also feels cheap and my hand gets hot and sweaty after using for just 10 minutes.

With that being said, I'm used to mouse like g403, g305, I'm probably just being spoiled by how good those are...

I bought this mouse and it started double clicking after just one month. Expect to accidentally do a lot of unwanted things when using this mouse once that starts happening. It felt laggy also and I actually felt more in sync using the touchpad. I recently purchased a Logitech G305 and it is perfect with no lag or cheap feel.

G305 is a $50 gaming mouse with 1000 Hz polling and 12K DPI.

Vastly different products.

Bought one in 2015. It died about a year ago. No rhyme or reason. Thought the battery died died but, nope, just died. Grabbed another one for another to see if it does better this time.
3 years out of it. How long did you want it to last?

I have used it for almost 10 years and it is excellent.
Mine was passed down generation to generation from my great great great grand father. He used it to take notes during proclamation emancipation.

Hate to break it to u but you've been had. Mice back then were produced with a ball instead of optics. Optical mice were not introduced til after the great depression.

Good mouse for the home office or web surfing crowd. For gaming this is not the mouse you need.

Shaped for left and right-handed people but the thumb buttons are for righties only. Just make some high-end left-handed mice, again, Logitech. A mouse that suits your handedness is more comfortable than one of these ambidextrous designs.

As a rightie, this just looks like a less comfortable M705.

I generally like Logitech mice, and this one feels good in the hand and has buttons to re-map. But they use very low-quality switches for the buttons. I always keep a spare, but I don't know if I can continue. My last one lasted a bit more than 3 months before the left mouse button started to bounce. I typically get about a year out of these with LOTS of use. But their mice used to last 3-5 years. I mark the date placed into service on the inside of the battery cover in case you wonder.

I would never pay more than about $17 for an MX-510. Logitech's warranty is good, but it's not worth the trouble.

"My middle mouse is getting a bit worn down from all the copy + pasting, so maybe I'll get one to replace this... I guess it's been a few years..."

Clicks on Amazon.com link:
"You purchased this item on January 14, 2012."

s/a few/almost 8/

I guess I should stop wondering why it doesn't feel new anymore and get another one. Wink

because BestBuy has payed for its deals to go front page, and sd is trying to get traffic away from a 10% back retailer RM.

I've been using this mouse for about a year now at work. Works great, especially in comparison to most of the other choices at this price (Verbatim and other garbage brands).
  • No connectivity issues
  • buttons and scroll work as expected
  • the batteries last forever
  • the shape is good for me. I have small hands, though. For large hands it might be a little too small.
