I used this mouse at work for quite a while. Honestly, it is probably the least favorite modern mouse I've ever used. The shape sucks, the scroll wheel sucked and eventually only worked sporadically. The m705 is currently $26 at BB and gets down to $20 during some sales and it is 100x better than this mouse.
odd. 90% of the time you see people say how stout and indestructable these mice are. we have a half dozen at work and not one has failed yet. the only ones that have been replaced are the ones that have been used to the point where the paint is wearing through and they just look gross. they get tossed in the drawer as a backup. havent needed to pull one out yet.

Great mouse. I use it left handed.
Even if you are right handed, its good to switch hands to help prevent RSI / Carpal Tunnel

Just as an fyi, I bought one of these and it only lasted 5 months. The receiver broke. I tried getting the warranty but Logitech never followed through. I know one more person that bough the same model and the receiver broke as well within 6 months.

Almost perfect mouse. Long battery-life, 5 buttons for right handed people, bigger size means no cramping, low cost.

Only complaint is that if you travel with it, you need to carry a mouse pad because it lacks dark field tech that lets it track on all surfaces.

That's one of my gripes about this mouse. It also freaks out on certain grain woods and marble counter tops like the older optical mice used to do. When you move the mouse, the pointer will jump all over the screen. And yes, using a mouse pad fixes the problem.
Also I have one that the mouse wheel is loose now. It feels like it's free spinning, but it still works normally.

Just want to warn people, this mouse is a bait and switch. The original one used a laser tracking tech and was one of the better mice I've owned. The soft rubbery stuff around the edge can get gunky after a few years though, especially if your hands are oily or sweaty a lot. I bought a new one but they have revised the hardware since the original. Now it uses a LED for tracking and I have nothing but problems with it. The pointer jitters a lot and it often jumps when I try to left-click. If I'm right on the edge of what I want to click it's possible for it to jump off of it and click something else. It's much worse than a mouse that was originally designed to use a LED instead of a laser for tracking.

I've had 3 of these. One of them my mom uses every day and works fine. I got one as my work mouse back in like 2010 and it finally died about 8 years later. I got the same mouse again as a replacement.

I have another one to use with my TV. It has pretty good range, better than the mouse that comes in the $20 keyboard/mouse bundle.

Edit, yes they did change it a couple of years ago, but I've been using it for 2 years now without a problem.

Clicks on Amazon.com link:
"You purchased this item on January 14, 2012."

s/a few/almost 8/

I guess I should stop wondering why it doesn't feel new anymore and get another one. https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...ilies/wink.gif
I love how amazon reminds us those things. It's always like "I just got this" and then amazon goes "you got this 6 years ago".... LOL

Unifying. I have quite a collection of Unifying receivers now because these mice wear out so quickly.

Buy this for the unifying receiver and have a spare mouse.

Great deal at less than half off retail.
