I just bought this keyboard and I like it but I noticed the front plastic part comes off and you can click it back on but I find this annoying. Can anyone who knows about this keyboard tell me why they have a piece that covers the front be removable? I was considering gluing it on if I decide to keep it.

Are you talking about the wrist rest? Mine only comes off while cleaning or lifting the keyboard.

Amazon has this "renewed" for $69.85 and I prefer their customer service over BBY.

Professionally inspected and tested to work and look like new, with minimal to no signs of wear, by an Amazon-qualified supplier. Supplier performs a full diagnostic test, replaces any defective parts, and thoroughly cleans the product. Box and accessories may be generic.

Backed by the Amazon Renewed Guarantee. Eligible for replacement or refund within 90 days of your receipt if it does not work as expected via a single point of contact at Amazon.

90 day guarantee Amazon vs 14 days at Best Buy.

I own this keyboard and used it for months. It is not the keyboard i currently use. To answer your question I believe it is to allow for different palm rests. During my time using the keyboard I kept it on and it did not come off.

I now use a keyboard with brown switches and personally like the browns better. Also the g910 is a massive keyboard, it eats a lot of desk space.

The keyboard is nice and if you are looking for a full size keyboard definitely consider it.

I bought this keyboard about 2 years ago. Really like it while it lasted. The volume wheel stopped responding after about 6 months of use. And after two years of use I have an issue where the keys randomly double input keys. It effects the whole keyboard and research shows this maybe an issue due to the way the circuit boards are manufactured.

I bought a renewed keyboard from amazon. A few keys would press randomly and it was unusable after a few months. I ended up buying this exact keyboard again from best buy the last time it went on sale. There is a major difference in new vs used IMHO.
