I love how the country of origin is stated as imported. Why so secretive? Just say it, CHINA.

I just picked up one of these Lews MB reels a few days ago when they had a $20 off $100. It's a really good light weight reel. I usually only use Shimano reels, but this Lews reel is nice too.

Except they are not made in China.

But we get what you are trying to say, if it's not made in the USA it's made in China and therefore is junk...🙄

You said it not me. These could be made in Korea or China or both. I think by stating China it could deter some consumers. I usually go by reputation and reviews to decide.

You should contact the authorities, I'm sure being attacked is a crime.

No. It is the same reel: Lew's Carbon Fire SK Speed Spinning Reel (last one in the post).

Regarding to "made in China". It is hard to find a reel not made in china. But "made in china" quality is much much better than before, and price is still good. Good quality with low price is the king!

Even Shimanos JDM reels are mostly made in Malaysia. Doesn't have to be China.

On another note, I have one of these MB Tournaments I use it on my flipping set up, so it's hard to say how it performs. I usually have 1oz+ lure tied on with 65lb braid. You can chuck 1oz lure on 65lb braid with any reel. But I have no complaints about it.

Also they came out with a new model to replace the MB, which explains the low price and low inventory. Maybe other retailers will be doing the same.

I still don't understand the point of your comment actually was.

Why doesn't it matter? Chances are if you only buy "made in USA" stuff, your not shopping at Dicks for other political reasons.

This is a good reel, with good reviews and and reputable brand...so again why do you care that Dicks puts it as Imported and not state specifically where it was made. You obviously are trying to imply it's not good because it's "imported". With the exception of some very high end fishing reels, all come from overseas and many are of very high quality even so much better than you could achieve here with an unlimited price tag. As a whole, Korea and Japanese fishing products are high quality. However, junk products are made everywhere including the USA.

Made here or in China, Lew's is still overpriced junk. Shimano ftw
