The model for this phone is XT1921-2. The clearest, most concise spec listing I can find is at the Republic Wireless site: https://help.republicwireless.com...Tech-Specs

This phone should be bootloader unlockable and rootable, per XDA:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/...m-t3820901
https://forum.xda-developers.com/...d-t3856182

LTE bands supported: 1,2,3,4,5,8,12,14,17,30,66

Clearly, it works fully with AT&T, Cricket, and other AT&T MVNOs. As long as you do not power on the phone with included SIM, it should activate just fine on any AT&T MVNO.

This lacks band 13 - which is Verizon's 4G LTE backbone - so it almost certainly will not work with Verizon or Verizon MVNOs.

This lacks bands 25, 26, and 41, so it almost certainly will not work with Sprint.

It does have main TMO LTE bands (2,4,12), so it should technically work with TMO or a TMO MVNO, but activation outside of AT&T or an AT&T MVNO will almost certainly require 6 months of AT&T service before it can be unlocked for that purpose. Still, if you have TMO and pick up this phone, please try and let us all know!

Same price in stores.

Would BB have same deal in store if I just walk in? I need two, the website limit is one, and a second order I placed as a guest was immediately cancelled. Wife and I are both using e4's and could stand to both upgrade.

Motorola E6 is currently on sale for $99 on Motorola's site. Going to pick up one as a backup. no need to wait to unlock the bootloader.

sorry for ignorance how does this perform with fortnite and minecraft mobile?

want to get this for kid so he don't bother me for a pc that can play fortnite.
this is absolutely NOT powerful enough to play fortnite.
its a pretty low spec phone... graphically speaking.

Post #71 says it is a part number that will run MVNOs, so presumably it will work with Consumer Cellular. But other posts say it will not without being unlocked.

Are we confident #71 is right? I could use a $30 spare phone; my wife doesn't seem able to hold them reliably.

Not sure if this is answered. Will it work on H2O wireless without unlock?

2800 mAh battery? Android can be a resource hog as is. Recently bought a LG Phoenix plus for $30 on clearance at target as toy phone and it has a 3000 mAh & Android OREO.

Have the e5 plus version. One of the best phones I've beer had. Don't notice the 720p, it's snappy no matter how many apps I put on it and it's durable. Great price vs product

Used to get unlock code from ATT by choosing "not ATT customer" option in their unlocking request. No go anymore?
I bought an unactivated AT&T prepaid Moto E4+ from Best Buy last year, and simply put my Cricket SIM in to get going w/o problem. That same week I also requested an unlock from the AT&T website, as a "non AT&T customer". It came through fine in a couple of days. YMMV of course. I should mention my Cricket account had been active about two years at the time, in case that factors in somehow.

Odds that you'll find someone on SD who has done exactly what you're asking with this exact model of phone (and available as a prepaid) is extremely low.

Of course, it doesn't hurt to ask. But the odds that this phone will work on an AT&T MVNO out of the box - as long as you don't turn it on with the included SIM - are pretty good.

The reason is that an AT&T MVNO is going to pay AT&T for use of their network, anyway. They subsidize phones, too, same as AT&T is doing for this one. It doesn't make financial sense for AT&T to be particularly strict about it, since they get money either way.

The "6 months of service before unlock" part is for use on other carriers, so that AT&T can recoup the subsidy before you leave them.

The E5 Plus definitely is the better phone, too bad it's not listed on sale at bestbuy.

Not really worth $100. Might as well add another $50 and get the much better/premium phone which is the Z3 play at $150, also factory unlocked, directly from Motorola too.
