Been looking to get a tripod for real estate photography. How is this option for someone not wanting to spend $300+ on a tripod? Online reviews seem pretty good

While this tripod could work for photography, it is more so designed for video work. There are plenty of tripods for less than 300 (less than 100 even) that are perfectly capable for real estate work. Don't spend more than $120 or so, especially if you're just starting out. Look at manfrotto or similar systems, I believe I have a Zomei that was like $70 and has been very capable for years now. This tripod will work, but you won't really utilize its features for shooting stills.

I just started out and been using this tripod (link below). Don't spend so much money at the beginning (other than on the camera and a wide angle lens). Make money, then reinvest in better gear.

Specs say 6.7lbs would be fine for carrying to the range but that would be a little more than you would want to carry around in the field of you do a lot of hiking a few extra pounds here and there add up fast.

Thanks. I mostly use my scope for sighting in my rifles. I like that these are tall and stable. 👍

I have this tripod and it is great. For $25 you can not go wrong. One thing is, I always forget to push in the screw at the bottom and I always scratch my head lol . Seeing your comment tonight, I might buy a 2nd one.
