For those who might want to make a big batch of stew, soup or any liquid and store them in freezer, be sure to.get the "wide mouth" variant. The regular mouth jar isn't freezer safe per official website due to the curved shoulder.
Though you "should" be safe if you leave 1.5-2" space below the shoulder.

I'm starting to question what has happened to SD. This is a fine price ATM, but about two months ago, during the canning season, these were much cheaper at Walmart. Last year around thanksgiving they were $5.50 at Target and Walmart online, they ship right to your house. At no time should a mason jar be more than a dollar a jar, so the $16 'normal' price is a joke.

Are these decent to use for drinking glasses?
I use them for drinking glasses. They work great! I use the quart size and we don't have to keep refilling them during dinner. They don't chip and don't break easily. I have dropped them occasionally and they don't break like regular glasses do.

I'd say I got them for $5.00 last Xmas. But some wise ass would say we don't have a time machine. But I'm thinking I'll find the same this Xmas. (At Walmart )

Especially so if you live in a trailer and love NASCAR

Prefer the shorter wide mouth mason jars for storing bud for regular use.
But if you grow and have volume, then these are a great way to keep fresh for months.

If you grow more than one small plant you would need a couple dozen. I grew about 3-4 decent size plants and one huge one and mason jars are too small to fit them.

Make sure to buy the quart ones.

These are great for canning, making things like pickles or jams.

I used these exact jars for curing my buds after harvest.

The jars are thick and provide that great pop sound to it to know they have sucked down and sealed for no air release. Some other jar companies do not have that ability.

I was able to get 7 full sized plants (5.5-6 ft tall) in 2 cases of these.

Just make sure you open the pack and check them because the folks who put the on shelves obviously don't care and you end up with chipped/ cracked/ broken jars.

Thanks and take a rip for me too!

Edit: mine were the quart size.

Bud is the only one small enough to fit in a jar. Kelly's brain would fit
