I've had my eye out for a T7i. Been between this and the M50. Gonna wait time see what that drops to before deciding between the two. This is a great price.

The T7i doesn't have 4K video but most newer Canons do, so unless you needed a new camera imminently for an occasion, you might want to pass.

The M50 (which I own, btw and is a good camera otherwise) has very heavily cropped 4K, severe rolling shutter, and no autofocus in 4K. Same with the SL3

IMO, the only Canons with usable 4K are the EOS R, 90D, M6 II, and maybe the RP

Sony mirrorless all the way especially for 4k, sports, with auto focus that is light years ahead of it's competitors. Just an opinion, you don't have to believe.

I looked at the m6 mark 2, but really disappointed it doesn't have a flip out screen. Now if I could get a mirrorless with flip out(fully articulating, not the flip up), mic input and some quality 4k for $800, that would be perfect. But I just haven't found one. Open to suggestions if anyone has them. I don't mind the crop in 4k as much, for my needs I won't be using it that much. But if anyone knows one with better 4k performance with the stuff listed above, I'm all ears!

That's a pretty good deal in my opinion. I bought a T6i refurb direct from Canon 3yrs ago. $599 for the kit and the 55-250. Then grabbed a Canon bag for $10.

While my refurb was like new and is still great! You can't beat new for $100 more.

How is this compared to Nikon D5600? I mean, I've done my basic google research and both the Nikon D5600 and Canon T7i seem similar/comparable. Review websites point out the pros/cons and differences/similarities but I'd like to hear from people their personal take on this. Thanks.

I tried D3500, then D5600. Returned both. Did not like extra vivid bright colors even on standard modes. (But this is my personal preference. A lot of people like that.) Also, if you plan on shooting mostly in auto mode (like me, as a beginner), on nikon with 18-140mm lens and with their famous 35mm lens, I was only able to get 2/10 pictures that were really sharp and clear. And that in good day lighting conditions. All other pictures were grainy/sandy/noisy... With Canon T7i and canon 18-135mm lens I probably get 6/10 clear pictures. If I use 50mm lens - 8/10 pictures are sharp. I understand that it is also my fault: I need to learn how to use manual settings to get good pictures, but you know, if I am paying 800$+ for a camera, I expect it to be able to make good clear pictures. Another thing - both do 1080p video. On canon - autofocus is much better then nikon: its faster and quiter.

4k video requires an investment in PC hardware and storage that should be considered.
