Price for unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 dropped to $399 today morning and with 20% back in rewards for Amazon Prime Store Card holders, this makes it the cheapest price since the $350 deal that was last seen few months ago.

If you are in need of a decent smartphone, then $320 (effectively) is a good price.

I got an LG V35 with the same processor and 6GB of RAM and bigger battery from Ebay for about $180 (open box, but it was actually brand new)
Yes...I know LG is slow with updates, it was less than half of this one

Why is this FP? Even after the 20% back this costs way more than the S9 is worth these days. These go for well under $300 used.
With 20% back, its $320. If your in a state with no tax, even better deal. I have a s7 edge now. I got it off if ebay a few years back. It took 3 orders off of ebay to find one that worked (1st was marked new but looked like it was heavy used, 2nd was stolen and I could not activate, 3rd time was all good.)
That was a nightmare and months of dealing with the returns/waiting for another ebay deal.

This deal seems pretty solid. Amazon is easy to work with if there is an issue.

It is close to black Friday, so waiting may pay off, but maybe not. With "waiting" for a better deal, you'll always be waiting.

Must resist the temptation. Just replaced the battery AGAIN on my adequate S5 (don't laugh...OK I might deserve a bit of ribbing) for $10. The camera and video display are still amazing. It's my way of protesting the money grab by manufacturers to force customers to upgrade often by no longer making phones with replaceable batteries and pushing out new versions of the OS. How long should I continue to resist?
Can I ask where you purchased your battery, I am in exactly the same boat as you...Stay Strong! I just replaced a broken screen in my S5 and it works great, except of course for the battery

Hello, I was about to pull the trigger on this but read the reviews. This item seems to have the amazon 'bin' issue where they get a whole bunch of product in from multiple sellers and put them in a bin so you have no idea what you will get. Lots of people complaining that these are not new and are failing shortly after receiving. Also, incorrect product in the box, missing phone, etc. It may be worth it to try but not sure I am willing to take the chance.
This is sold by Amazon...the reviews are from people that purchase from sketchy 3rd party sellers.

I previously had a note 4 which I believe is the same processor as the S5. Last Christmas I upgraded to the S9 plus and it was night and day in terms of performance. Particularly loading web pages is incredibly fast. it's the type of thing where you don't know what you're missing until you try a new phone. If you've got Amazon rewards card like I do this is a no-brainer to pull the trigger. the best thing about it is the headset earpiece is also a speaker and that's my favorite thing about this phone. The stereo audio is incredible

I thought about the same but I am already a Cricket customer and their price for me would be $599. Trying to add a new line would require to pay $55 additional so before tax it will be $329, essentially the same price. However, I don't want to bother with the additional line.

Also a simple solution, just get Best Buy to price match and pick it up at the store, I always do this when the item is listed and sold by Amazon.

An Amazon rep told me that if an item is sold by Amazon it is never being taken from the bin, there is no way to prove it though

Tried it out for a week and didn't like it. Thankfully got it at Costco and was able to return it. Bought a OnePlus 6t instead and I'm happier for it.

Hated the infinity display. The rounded edges create a darker halo effect and distorts images. Battery life wasn't great either.

The S10e was only $350 earlier this year ($499 for the S10, and $599 for the S10+). and the S9 was on sale for $300 as well. TD, not a good deal for a 20 month old phone.
