Price for unlocked Samsung Galaxy S9 dropped to $399 today morning and with 20% back in rewards for Amazon Prime Store Card holders, this makes it the cheapest price since the $350 deal that was last seen few months ago.

If you are in need of a decent smartphone, then $320 (effectively) is a good price.

Can I ask where you purchased your battery, I am in exactly the same boat as you...Stay Strong! I just replaced a broken screen in my S5 and it works great, except of course for the battery
I got the Acevan off of Amazon. It was $13 so I erred on the price but still a great deal. I have read that Samsung no longer makes the batteries so all the ones claiming OEM are likely fake. I rather trust a company that puts their name on it than ones that lies about being OEM. I play games on it so the battery does get warm and degrade faster. I've resigned to the prospect of replacing the battery every year or so. At $13, that's not bad compared to $300+ for a new flagship phone.

Upgraded from an S6 to the S9 during a Amazon Warehouse sale and got a "Used- Very Good" condition for around $300 and don't regret it for a second. The battery life is great, and the performance is worlds better than my S6 which used to take upwards of 10 seconds to do the simplest of tasks.

I believe it was 299 during prime day so may be best to wait till black Friday if you're not in a rush. Otherwise, good deal for prime members who need a phone now
It was $350 on Prime Day, I know because I bought one. But yes, I agree that this isn't a terribly good price, I bet it will be $300 or less on Black Friday.

The S9 is an awesome phone. No notches or camera punch holes, still has a headphone jack and sd card slot, great camera which recently got updated with improvements like night mode (works great). Highly recommend.

I previously had a note 4 which I believe is the same processor as the S5. Last Christmas I upgraded to the S9 plus and it was night and day in terms of performance. Particularly loading web pages is incredibly fast. it's the type of thing where you don't know what you're missing until you try a new phone. If you've got Amazon rewards card like I do this is a no-brainer to pull the trigger. the best thing about it is the headset earpiece is also a speaker and that's my favorite thing about this phone. The stereo audio is incredible
Thank you for sharing your experience. I haven't experienced the lag that's noticeable or annoying yet. It's still pretty zippy except when I have a bunch of apps open. The issues that tempt me to upgrade are the memory limitations so I have to juggle with deleting apps I don't use often. I have a 128GB SD card but most apps can only move about 1/4 of the app to mass storage and some can't move any. My SD card still has over 100GB remaining. The other issue that tempt me to upgrade is one app that I used to use, Dunkin Donuts, no longer works as it reqires Android 6.0 or higher. I guess they don't want my business.

Maybe they're dumping in preparation for the Black Friday phone sales. Almost always a good deal during that time, and normally new(er) models.
All the BF deals are out.

The only improvement on these cell phones are the cameras.
If you don't take pictures I suggest holding onto your old
phone for 5 years.
