Audiophiles heads up. This seems to be massive discount a very niche product.
Provided B&H doesn't collect tax (for most states) and provide free shipping and extended holiday returns,

This seems to be great deal for people looking for a stylish stereo amplifier for a small room. This amp is considered to have more power in audio cricles than the modest 35wpc at 8ohm that Marantz lists on the spec sheet.

QA Note: Expected availability: 7-14 business days

Note :
This amp lacks streaming capablity (wifi/bluetooth etc) also has no preouts.

HiFi stuff is annoying because it's so subjective, but there is a definite HiFi sound you'll will eventually hear and once you do god help you because it's going to cost you a fortune.

So f'ing true. I once had a taste of it in my younger days (mid 1970s). (I remember giving away a Marantz receiver in the mid '80s that would probably go for a thousand now). I have been trying to reproduce it on the cheap to no avail. I also am thinking my ears may be too far gone from all those concerts I went to back in HS and college. My wife is losing her patience as well.

Agreed, this is a fantastic price for a superb amp (I own one).

I am a noob on audio. Can anyone tells me how this machine connect to my pc or iPhone and my headphones or speakers? And what does no-preamp means for this? Thanks.

An insane deal! I'm not in the market, but if you're looking for one of the best sub $1000 digital focused integrated amps available, you're not going to do much better.

Yes, you can get a 100wpc ChiFi amp and DAC for less, but from every review I've read this thing is pretty great.

Any recommendations on a slim receiver? I bought a yamaha last week and returned it because it was too big and I don't want to add a "media cabinet" next to my entertainment center.

Was looking at the Marantz 1609. Any help is appreciated.

Question to those of you who already own this amp or at least have personal experience with it:
My way of using it would be mainly to plug in my FLAC collection via USB stick and listen to it through my Beyerdynamics DT-990 Pro headphones.
Will this be significantly better than using my Pioneer XDP-30R ?
I mean, is it worth the extra $600 to add this for home and use the Pioneer on the go?
Thanks in advance for any kind help!

Upon searching online, there seems to be a mixed review on this device. Some people did not recommend this for $1100 so maybe it's worth a shot for $600?

Have you thought about getting a Chromecast Audio and using Plex? It's how I listen to my FLAC collection and it works amazingly well.

I have not; thanks for the interesting idea, I will look into that. My focus though is not on portability or distribution inside/outside the house, it's really about whether or not there is an audible difference big enough to justify the additional purchase?

I have two of the Marantz slimline receivers - the 1607 and the 1605. Both are great for my needs.
