The Owlet Smart Sock 2 is on sale for $199 ($100 off) at both Target (in-store pickup only) and Walmart (online and in-store). Close to it's lowest price ever of 179.99. With coupons or discounts you might be able to get there.

Was originally an early BF offer at Target available through tomorrow (Saturday), looks like Walmart is price matching.

Owlet site: owletcare.com

Target: https://www.target.com/p/owlet-sm...A-53197377
Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Owlet-.../167836816

Couple notes:
  • You can use FSA or HSA dollars to buy this
  • You should be able to use the Target in-store 15% off baby registry item on this YMMV
  • Check cashback sites, you can get 5% back on baby items at Walmart
  • Can save a bit at Target with the Redcard
Edit: Target has it available online but for in-store pickup only.

Slickdeals took a lot more work than hooking up a pulse oximeter to a sock.
I'd have to disagree. The site is driven by users. It wouldn't exist in its current form if it wasn't for us. Therefore, I don't think it was that difficult. It's essentially a modified web forum.

Thanks OP. Was in the market for either this or the Nanit cam since I have a little one on the way in three weeks. Just purchased from Target with the 15% registry coupon. Came up to $169.99.

I also purchased the camera separately for $127.49 but may or may not keep it. I have Ring Stick Up Battery Cams all over the house but not directly over the crib. So figured this would work but will keep it in the box while looking for deals.

Obviously they forgot about your mom...

Yep, I ended up getting it for $169.99 as well. Tried to use the registry coupon but it bugged out, they had to do a manager override to give me the 15%. So YMMV, worth a shot for 15% off.

Have this and use it for my kid - good peace of mind especially if you have extra anxiety early on after having the baby (hormones are wild). A bit more solid sleep for >$200? Would buy it again, 100%

I also had this but only used it for about six months until I'm comfortable letting the baby sleep on her belly. I believe it helps prevents SIDS and monitors her making sure the kiddo sleeps and breathes ok throughout the night. It's also useful when the baby is sick because it can detect when there's a burst of irritability and heart rate.

You're right, why spend the money on an Owlet if you plan on killing your kids through a miserable death of other diseases. And since you don't care about your own kids why would you even think to care about those immunity-compromised children who can't receive vaccines and benefit from community immunity.

This is the absolute truth. You'll need a coffin instead. I hear Costco carries infant coffins now.

This is an excellent price. We've used one for my now 3 year old and one for my now 1 year old. Warranty and support coverage i great, but I do want to let everyone know they are not very reliable. If your kids move around and kick around a lot with the sock on it will stop working. We've purchased two (one for each kid) and both stopped working at 9-10 months in, they were both replaced under warranty though.

I had the same experience. Ended up returning mine because I hated how often it would stop working when my baby daughter moved her legs. My baby moves a lot. The noise the base made because the baby was shifting would often wake her and parents. Hope they improve this tech in next generation device to read even when shifting is happening like these devices do at NICU. Wonder if this price discount means an update is on its way soon. Can't tell from owlet site.

Same here. I didn't think to mention it but they couldn't get my 15% coupon to scan for it so customer service just took 15% off everything in my order. So now I guess my actual registry coupon is still available!

I'm due in about a month. I read a lot of reviews about this and ultimately decided against it. Between false positives, a false sense of security, and injuries that have occurred (babies have been burned by the sock), it's not worth it to me.

Are you going to use another monitor, like the Nanit cam? I'm debating still.

We got a regular camera monitor. I forget which brand.

Got it. Our hospital recommended going with a normal monitor instead of Owlet or Nanit. The staff said that if the Dr wants us to monitor the baby after birth, they'll send us home with medical grade equipment that insurance will cover. Of course I took the advice with a grain of salt...
