So $5 off?
Anyone know the limitations of using this?

I mostly use voice (echo/google home) for controlling smart things

This app is incredibly awesome, I've used it daily for years. Took a little but to set up, but hang an iPad on your wall and it's just really cool. Also you can put the home page on your phone. It's next level, and way better than the SmartThings app. Easily worth it at this price.

I've been thinking about the Smartthings ADT hub to hang on my wall next to the front door. I was not going to use the ADT portion at all, so would this be a better alternative with a tablet on the wall and my v2 Smarthub?
Anything from the ADT hub that I would be missing out on (apart from the $5 sensors I already picked up)

I understand that the final tile design depends on yourself, but I always looked at this and thought it looks kinda bland/amateurish.

I love ActionTiles! I have seven old Kindle Fire 7's mounted around the house running it. Can check on security, run scenes and routines, set temp, etc anywhere in the house FROM anywhere in the house.

ActionTiles is very good but keep in mind you are adding another cloud dependent service (ActionTiles) that relies on a cloud dependent service (SmartThings). They had some issues earlier this year with their provider (google) which created some downtime BUT they were good about communicating the issues. Be careful and research how you pay as ActionTiles is a Canadian company so you might get hit with currency exchange charges.

The ADT hub's screen can really only be used to arm and disarm the alarm. This software would allow you configure buttons for any of your devices

Yup, thought the same thing when I saw it years back... I found a really nice looking interface skin that somebody made, but the developer had ripped out the functionality. Fast forward two years, since I put in a feature request, and it's back in 🙂. Here's the thread, I haven't looked at new implementations, but it was something you could make look really good back then.
