Do they have good speakers?
Most TV's at this price point have average to poor speakers. So count on getting a sound bar. Sam's has a sale on those today too.

I believe that applies to the smaller size tv with a different panel type IPS see note on bottom of the review
Maybe this will help... their comment makes it seem like it won't be much different except for VA panels (but they don't know for sure since they didn't test it)

We tested the 49" LG UM6900. For the most part, we expect our review to be valid for the other sizes as well, except the 60" and 70" models, which might have VA panels. If these sizes use VA panels, they likely have much better contrast, but worse viewing angles.

The last three letters of each model code (ex. 'PUA', 'PUC', 'PUB') may vary between regions. These variants should perform the same, but there may be some minor regional differences, including the exact number of inputs.

Size Short Model Number US Panel Type
43" 43UM6910 43UM6910PUA IPS
49" 49UM6900 49UM6900PUA IPS
55" 55UM6910 55UM6910PUC IPS
60" 60UM6900 60UM6900PUA VA
65" 65UM6900 65UM6900PUA IPS
70" 70UM6970 70UM6970PUA VA
75" 75UM6970 75UM6970PUB IPS

If someone comes across a different type of panel or if their LG UM6900 doesn't correspond to our review, let us know and we will update the review.

The 49UM6900 we reviewed was manufactured in July 2019.

No. Just assumed Samsung would be better. I guess every brand makes a cheap line.

As a person who doesn't have the ability to remember all the different models from the various brands, I just wanted to say that it's really hard to buy a TV and feel like you made the best choice these days.

I almost wish we could rank our SD TV deals based on "value" or something like that for several sizes or price ranges.

@WiredNix totally agree with you. I need a new TV and with all the sales of crappy TV's mixed in I'm not sure what to choose.

Picked one up. The $70 gift card is not for Sam's Club but rather it is for VUDU. However, doesn't take away from the good deal.
I did live chat early this morning, and the rep assured me it was a GC for in store and online purchases.. I questioned it because the ad shows $70 Sam's club card, but the disclaimer when purchasing is showing the thing about Vudu.

Problem comes in as to what you value. TV good for movies, sports, dark room, bright room, viewing angles, etc.
