Is this seller authorized? This is an excellent price.

Here is their return policy:
Quote :
How do product returns work?
Damaged Products: TVs
We make every effort to prevent shipping damages. Upon delivery, you must inspect and test the merchandise for damage or defects. If your package appears damaged upon receipt, simply REFUSE the shipment. Once you sign for the delivery, you can no longer make any damage claims. If you should place an order with iElectrica and then refuse a package for any reason other than damage to the merchandise in the box, please know that you will receive a refund for the amount of your original transaction less any shipping charges iElectrica incurred in getting the package to you originally, as well as the cost of the return shipping, plus a 15% restocking fee. The box and packaging material inside the box are designed to protect your product. They are designed to absorb the impact of shipping. Just because there are visible signs of damage to the box does not mean that your product inside is damaged. You must remove the box and inspect the contents inside! If there is any damage to your product, you must refuse the delivery- do not sign for it, and note the damage on the delivery form. You must do this in order for us to file a claim on your behalf and ship you another unit. If you accept the package(s) damaged, it will be extremely difficult to have the shipping company cover the product under their insurance policy.
You must retain all manufacturer packaging until such a time as you are satisfied that the items delivered are in complete working condition, and there is no damage to them. Manufacturer packaging is a MUST regarding claims of damaged merchandise. If you do not retain the packaging, there is no way to file a claim. The result of that is we are unable to send a replacement, nor will we be able to refund the cost of the item.
Is this a typical policy for these discount TV deals? It seems overly restrictive to me. Does the delivery guy really stand there for 20+ minutes while you unpack and hook everything up to look for damage?

I am asking because I am trying to decide between continuing to look for online deals like this and paying more for a B&M experience.

Looks like the C9 won't go any lower for Black Friday. This is probably the time to bite, or the other option is to wait until Spring around Super Bowl time when the 10 series has already been announced and see if the 55" hits around $1000.

It's also worth noting Hisense and Vizio will be entering the NA market with their OLED TVs in 2020. LG will need to be more aggressive with its pricing to maintain their market share for OLED TVs.

This might drive the price of the LG 2019 OLED TV models down further to clear out inventory around the Super Bowl season.

If you read the comments several folks from Australia (where HIsense tried selling their OLEDs) mention they didn't do well, weren't very good, and are now sold at bargain basement prices accordingly.

Now- Vizio IS released OLEDs next year... but they're using LG display panels... just like Sony is.

Sony sure isn't putting any price pressure on LG TVs, since they're actually more expensive, despite using the same panels.

Since the actual warranty doesn't care- why do you?

He does if he wants me to sign for the delivery.

If not he can carry it back to the truck, knowing he'll be obligated to come back the next day and try and deliver it again and be told the same thing.

Hisense using older generations of OLED panels and selling them at a high price in Australia is their fault. Maybe they'll adjust their strategic plan for NA. If not, then they're idiots for not doing so. I definitely hope they won't use the same trick in NA.

More competition is better overall for the consumers. It will depend on what the NA market can bear during the Q4 holidays and the Super Bowl. Another aspect is how low will these companies slash their prices to remain competitive. As of 2019, the NA market only has two brand choices for OLED TVs. In 2020, we will have four brand choices. Things will get interesting.

How can you tell that? Sellers like iElectrica don't advertise their future price drops or sales as far as I am aware.
