No, it can only be used on full priced subscriptions. Spotify calls this a gift card but it's only really a discount on full price membership. I'm pretty sure it's illegal in certain states to call it a gift card and I'm surprised someone in a state with strong consumer protection laws like California hasn't taken them to court for a class action lawsuit yet. I still have a $60 gift card from years back never used because it isn't valid for family memberships.

No, it can't.

From their terms:

Gift Cards, eGift Cards and other currency-denominated Cards cannot be redeemed for discounted or group subscriptions (such as student discounts, trial offers, Premium for families, or offers combining Premium with other companies' products or services).

Does anyone know how far in advance you can apply these? I'm only in 150 days, which means I still have about 200 days until I run out...

Pretty sure Spotify just extends it another 12 months.

Yes but you may have to unlink it and relink it for the credit to be applied. This won't cover 12 months for family

What do you mean? Switch out of the family as the main subscriber and then be re-added?

Comes out to $7 a month, imho is what the everyday normal price should be. But yes this is a great deal 👍 op

Was really hoping to get two years for $84 with student. How many people pay full price for Spotify? I feel like with family/student and all the other offers, it'll never really be much more than $84 a month?

Note : You can actually apply these to a family account if you don't mind a little work. Last time a Spotify deal came out, I bought the gift card, downgraded my account to a single user, applied the gift card, then went back to a family plan. It adjusted the credit and gave me the correct number of months.
