For someone who is invested in the Makita 12V CXT lineup, in the market for a cordless vacuum, and could use a few extra batteries, I will not be purchasing this.

A consistency from review to review is that even though it is well built, the suction under performs.

For someone interested, $50 more toward the dyson is a far more versatile deal. At least that can do upright vacuuming plus the portable motorized attachment is great for upholstery in cars and at home. The power difference is also dramatic.

It doesn't suck, although you need it to.

Nice. Got a model name or link? I'd like to recommend the off-brand Sucker 2000 as well. It's $5 more. But I dont know the full model name, link, or anything else other than I think it also has HDMI. Smilie

Nice. Try the Sarcasm 6000, from UseSearch. I hear it makes breakfast in bed too.

To be fair, it's ~$100 for the makita with the low suck. Lowes has a deal for $150 for the Dyson v7, handheld only:
https://slickdeals.net/f/13575217-lowe-s-black-friday-dyson-v7-trigger-pro-cordless-handheld-vacuum-for-149-00?v=1&src=SiteSearch

But I don't think it has a hose that works with makita's tools, and apparently you need to shell out $50 more if you want the extended stock (rumored better battery + hepa "fluffy" filter), like this guy:
https://www.dyson.com/sticks/dyso...luffy.html

Sounds like better to wait and see. It ain't black friday yet! Applause
